Sometimes I think about my T between sessions and more during weekends when I know she doesn´t work. I know a little about her, that she lives by herself, not far from where I live, that she has some female friends and among them some are married and some have children. She has also mentioned a couple of films she has seen and that she sometimes go to a café or to the movies by herself.
So for my T I imagine she spends an ordinary weekend at home, watching some TV series she likes, perhaps visiting one of her friends, perhaps visiting her parents. Now when it´s still quite warm outside I imagine her sitting on her balcony, perhaps reading a book, eating something good or something like that. What do you think your T does an ordinary weekend? |

I know T1 mows grass at three farms. And he spends a lot of time with his grandchildren.

I have no idea. She doesn't tell me much of anything about herself. I don't even know if she's married. She'll just say she's going to be gone, maybe something vague about a location that could be anywhere, but that's it.

I guess she goes shopping with her daughter and day trips with her friends.
The shopping with her daughter is hard for me to deal with but that is for a different thread! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I never wondered - as long as she does not show up on my doorstep - it does not matter to me how she spends her time.

My t is an old coot. I think he spends his time doing the "honey-do" list his wife hands him. Other than that, not a whole heck of a lot.

Mine works every other Saturday but not full day. Probably spends a good deal of time reading as he is very well-read and educated. Maybe watches movies and listens to music. I think he also likes to travel. Has a cat so I guess the animal gets some attention. Other than these, I don't know. He shares quite a bit about his thoughts, opinions, books he read, past experiences, but not much about ordinary everyday activities or living conditions, people in his life etc. I rarely ask about these "ordinary" things so don't know. I guess there must be some sort of physical activity as well given that he seems to be in a great shape for his age.
Former T is an artist besides therapy, interested in a variety of social causes, makes different kinds of videos, and is quite active on social media. |

He's a gym rat so she is probably hiking or exercising all weekend long.

I know she does yoga for her arthritis, gardening, and spends time with her boyfriend. Other than that I have no idea.

My t usually goes to city to visit her children or they come to visit her. She also goes on a lot of vacations! The other evening after my session my ts daughter was there and she was having dinner with her daughter, it smelled really good and I was very jealous.
My t is not very exciting so I don't really imagine her doing anything exciting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My marriage counselor often talks about his life, and recently he was describing what he did on a Sat. or Sun.--I think to explain why he hadn't heard about a big news event till Sunday night. But he was talking about spending a few hours mowing the lawn, driving his teen-aged daughter to a birthday party, thenn maybe going to Home Depot or something like that. All pretty boring and domestic. I know his wife has health/mobility issues now, so I'm not sure if they used to go out and do more. He's also talked about a Sunday when he wanted to get stuff done around the house, but his son said he wanted to watch football with him. So he was like, "well, OK," and just hung out with his son instead of getting work done. He does come into the office on Saturdays sometimes, too (we've seen him then a couple times).
I know my T will sometimes see her kids and grandkids. She also likes to play tennis and golf, so maybe that? That's about all I know--she doesn't talk about her personal life too much. |

I would imagine she's probably gardening, since she talks about gardening. Also likely does art. She's got a fairly active social life, and is rather connected with family, so probably something along those lines. Oh, and she's a yogi, so there's likely that involved somehow...
I know she used to be rather physically active, but I think health issues have started to impact that. Other than those guesses, I dunno. I've never really thought about it much, since I try to keep boundaries around knowing too much about her. |

Same as the rest of the working world I assume. Catch up on housework, do the grocery shopping, and hopefully some pleasure time. For him, that would be time with kids and grandkids, carching a movie, going out dancing, etc.

If I had to imagine how the woman spends her free time: polishing her cauldron, waxing her broom, fattening small children up for a pie, turning villagers into newts - the usual sort of therapisty things

My t has a family with young children, so I imagine his life revolves around them. I have children similar ages, and my weekends are dictated by their activities.
