Yoga - my t talks about how she does yoga pretty often, but she's never said she's a yoga instructor. She says I should try it, though. I have no desire, for some reason. The massage thing, I did more because I wanted to conquer my fear of it than for any other reason. I may do that again, though, because I did find it very relaxing.

Has happened once. PrevT recommended a civil attorney for me with successful experience in malpractice litigation. She did not recommend me to her attorney.
At one point, the other side suggested PrevT took kick backs from her attorney referral. PrevT seemed angry about the slam. She asked me if I believed them? I did not. Other than that, PrevT or T have not recommended non-MH personnel to me. |

Both my psychatrist and therapist do. My psychiatrist is totally out to lunch recommending activities way beyond my financial means. My therapist though will talk about and even mention by name persons and places she thinks might be helpful. It is evident she has done some homework on my neighbourhood and what is nearby.
For example, she recommended to me a nearby deli which has a daily special which is within my budget - and told me who to talk to. She gave me the name of a neighbourhood yoga instructor who works on a sliding scale (we meet next week). She pointed out a small grocer within my walking distance. |
