That is what they have assistants and an office for.
I have an office and clients and students email me. How is it different?
The therapists I hire do not have assistants - I would never hire one who did.

I have never seen any of my therapists outside of therapy. Most have been very clear that if they did see me outside of therapy, they would not acknowledge me unless I did first. My appointment is the first one after lunch, and I feel weird just seeing my current therapist walk in to the office from lunch and go back to his office before coming out to get me. It would feel super weird to have any sort of conversation outside of the office.

This morning I came into my office to a voicemail from my T. She wanted to know the name of an agency that had helped me some years ago, in terms of some financial issues I was having. I phoned her back and left a voicemail, and also sent her an email, with the answer. I think she wants to know the name of the agency so she can recommend it to other clients, although, of course, I can't be sure. But she has said to me in the past, something like, "I know of someone who used X agency for such and such," so that's why I think that. I felt glad that I was able to help my T.
Thanks for this!

It's hard to explain but it doesn't bother me and in fact it helps deepen that relationship.

This is how I feel too, about seeing my t outside of his office.

I also see my t in the agency where I see clients, she is a supervisor there. We say hello and sometimes we chat when we are alone. It is awkward because I hear other therapists saying how amazing she is as a supervisor and that makes me jealous!
