My former T and I terminated in May because she moved away. I haven't been to therapy since then but I have been horribly depressed lately and I know I need to be in therapy. I scheduled an appointment for this Monday with a new T that my old T recommended to me.
I'm so nervous. What if she doesn't like me or I don't like her? I'd have to start over with someone new (and the wait for that would be at least 3 weeks at my university's clinic). What if she isn't as good as my old T? I'm just feeling so much anxiety about this.

I feel anxiety whenever something significant changes in my life, so it seems pretty natural you'd be nervous about this. Just remember, no decision is irreversible, and if you decide down the line you don't want to work with this T, that's okay. Good luck.
Thanks for this!
