Since you will be in Florida you could try to get admitted through the ER there. I think your insurance may work on US. Do they give you a card? When Canadians vacation in US they have to have some coverage if they get sick or are in an accident.

I know u probably do not realize this but if your PDoc didn't care he would have given up a long time ago. He has to care to even come and see you in the ER. He is probably just completely frustrated right now.

What do your parents think of all this?

The guy's frustration does not matter - he does not get to take it out on patients. He is an asshole

He didn't come see me in the ER. The stuff that was said in the ER was a different pdoc who works inpatient. They're the ones who deal with ER and inpatient patients. This guy has also been my pdoc since June and I've never had an appt: I've seen him during hospital rounds on the 2 longer stays, and that day 2 weeks ago when I begged my T to talk to him. That's it. He doesn't know me enough to be frustrated. It's not even him who I think is frustrated though, it's the ER pdocs who know me from my inpatient stays and from the fact that the medical doctor gets to make the decision whether to call for a psych consult

They know when I'' in the hospital for long periods but I hide the details. They knew I cut when i was younger but up until the spring they thought I had stopped. I wear long sleeves all summer.

What do u think is best for you. I don't know about Cansda but there are still extremely long stays in our state hospitals. People live there for years. It might stop your cutting for a long time because you would not have access to anything not even your fingernails or toenails or teeth.

Can you just try and tough it out in the DBT program the best you can, and still call your old T? Your new T doesn't NEED to know you are takling to old T, right?

I hope it helps you to go to Florida and have a break and change of scenery. Do you think you can talk to your parents at all about what's been going on? Maybe not all the details, but at least that you're struggling mentally. You said they didn't know you were SHing again until the spring. So I assume you did tell them about what happened then? Maybe they could help you if you wanted to try to find a hospital in FL, even for a short stay.
