Hi....

Ive found a therapist close to me and Its going to be the first time I see one.... Does anyone have advice?

Just try and relax and go with the flow. The first time usually involves a lot of questions about you, what you hope to acheive by going to therapy etc. I find a good connection

ask questions too... what sort of therapy s/he does? what does that mean in layman's terms? are they willing to be flexible in their preferred technique?

ask as many things as you can think of.. i pretty much grilled mine.

Hi Venny,

Welcome to PC.

You can write down the things you want to say and hand them to the therapist at the beginning of the session. It will give you both a place to start.
