I've been emailing back and forth since this morning. T1 eventually told me she couldn't treat me because of "the severity of my problems". T2 just emailed me back. We were scheduling an appointment and I told her my schedule and since I couldn't come into her cancellation on Monday, she told me I would be better with someone more flexible.
It toons so much just to reach out to not just one, but two, and to actually respond just for this to happen. |

Wait, so both of them basically terminated with you via email on the same day?

Then you'll have to go out of your area.
It's not your fault- please believe that!

Wow that does sound like a bind. Surprised both of them would opt out so easily.

that sounds so frustrating! i'm so sorry you're going through this.
not to minimize it, but i think its probably 'better' to get someone who is willing to work with you from the get-go, rather than starting down a path/getting attached and then having it turn out badly. can you ask the Ts who rejected you for suggestions on ppl to work with? they are supposed to give some referrals. |

T1 just came off as very cold. T2 seemed to be good until I couldn't fit her schedule. I can't even email T1 back. I might try to email T2 because I'm scared she'll just tell me no or not reply. |

That happened to me when I was looking for a new psychiatrist a few years ago. Made me feel awful.

Could you at all prioritize the appointment with T2? I mean like treat it as though it is the most important thing in the world right now so whatever else you have to do is still less important? Like getting hurt in an accident. Sorry if that still isn't feasible, but that's what I would try thinking.

I can't afford to miss any school. I tried to work with her but since I can't just come in when she's free (she doesn't have like a set open for weekly at the same day and time). My only friend in this city is about to move and then I'll be all alone. Everyone always leaves or doesn't want to deal with me. Either way, I feel like the worlds worst burden. I keep thinking about the hospital but I can't because of school. That happened at my first attempt in 2012 and I had to pay back all of my finical aid and then pay for my own classes and pass before I could apply again for assistance. I did private singing lessons and math in the spring. This fall, I'm taking private singing lessons, choir and remedial math and English. I can't miss school. I have to hope I can make it until something happens or spring finally comes. I refuse to go in December. Last time, the doctor tried to keep me over Christmas because I refused to take an AP I knew didn't work even at max dosage. But no one believes me. |
