I would worry she wouldn't have time for me. Do you worry about that rainbow?
My T only worked 3 days a week for the first few years I've been seeing her. After her divorce she added more days. Somehow she manages to make me feel like I'm her only client each week! As far as time, we've had a set day and time for 6 years. Occasionally I've had to change it and she fits me in so I'm not worried.

After reading the replies, I kind of wish she didn't have so many clients, but it makes me realize how good she is that many people want to see her! It also may be that there is a demand for SE and EMDR Ts since most Ts aren't trained in those techniques.
Thanks for this!

My therapist's schedule is completely full a week before the week. He works 8-6 with a lunch hour, so 10 clients a day, and he works four days a week. That's space for 40 clients, I guess, but I don't know if he spends any of that time doing paperwork or other work responsibilities. He does supervise graduate students, so that's a couple more hours. Yeah, I'm not sure how many clients he sees, but it's a lot. I never feel looked over or forgotten. I've been meeting with him for 3 years, so he knows me really well.

I have no clue and no inclination to ask. I know a lot of his work is supervision, coaching, training so I don't think he has masses of therapy clients.

I do care but I really don't want to know. I think it would complicate things for me if I knew. My therapist has once told me that even his supervisor with over 40 years of experience wouldn't see more than 20 clients a week. I am afraid, based on how inconsistent and not thoughtful he's been with me lately, that if I asked (and if he answered) it would be more clients than he can handle, and that would upset me. I would also be somewhat upset if he said a much smaller number, like 9 or 10 clients, after which I would probably worry about how come he's become so unresponsive and inconsistent in spite of having relatively few clients. Though I'd rather know he has fewer clients - I would totally understand if he is having some sort of hard time and needs to work less and focus on his personal life.

I don't know. I'm curious about that. GroupsT1 works 3 days at this practise and she has groups therapy.
Other T works 3 whole days at the moment. Maybe max. 7 clients on a day. Couples. Some might not have session every week.
This clinic has a waiting list, so the T's probably have a full schedule.

T2 has a good memory. She remembers things from me from years ago. How does she remember all that? With so many client?
