It's okay, your T sounds like she's fine with your need for her. We're often shamed for need in this individualistic world with heavy emphasis on self reliance. Yet most of us require some interdependence.

I am watching a Bob Newhart show and he is telling everyone one of his clients is a ball player and introducing him to the other people in his office.
What a nightmare.

Curious dream question. Art - I know you are into dream interpretation and I think someone else is. Atat?

Here's the question.

I have dreams and see them in different ways. There are some that are very "vivid" and I remember every aspect of them. The colors are vivid and the memory of them is very vivid.

There are dreams that I KNOW that I have. My mind "feels" them and a part of me knows them, but I can't recall them "consciously" but I can feel them.

Then, there are dreams that seem that belong to someone else, like they happened a very long time ago and they are in sepia coloring "watching it" and I'm a bystander.

Hope that doesn't sound "out there". I have a dream book and I've understood what many of my dreams have been. I'm not getting the "perspective?" side of it. If that makes sense.

Just curious if anyone had an opinion.

I am a fashion idiot. What are the tops called that have straps and like a built in bra/support thing. I want to buy another one but don't kknow what they are called.
ETA apparently they are called just that tank top with builtin bra at least that what google says

I am disgusting. I should not be allowed to exist. I hate myself, and I hate my T for lying to me by implying that I'm worth the same as any other person. I am completely worthless.

You're worth a lot more than plenty of other people.

Crocus, I relate a lot to feeling I'm disgusting, worthless and shouldn't exist. Sometimes when T says I'm not, I think "bull, you're just building rapport".

I read an exercise a T did with clients...the T asked them what was the youngest age where they felt worthless, evil, disgusting. Her theory is that there were formative events leading to that strongly held view.

I often feel I should have died in the womb, but here I am past my mid twenties.

I know saying things like "I like you, I don't believe you're disgusting or worthless".. you won't believe me. Maybe you're like me...thinking it's people liking a persona I've put up.

However what little I know of you has been full of kindness for people here, and that to me means you're a good person.

Doesn't sound "out there" at all to me. The ones where you know you had them, you can feel them, but not remember, those are the ones my t says aren't "ready" yet... like our psyches want us to know that something's brewing but they're not ready for us to know exactly what just yet? or something. I've written down a couple that I recall where they're like that last scenario, I'm like a silent watcher who can't interact, like I'm watching it on a movie screen. I don't know what that means, I wish I did.... most often I'm a participant in my dreams. Especially the nightmares... I physically feel those when I wake up from them. I hope someone has the answers you're looking for!

For me, active first person vivid dreams are a way of working out emotions. Cleansing or purgative you could say. There is rarely meaning there. Its more of a catharsis.

Dreams where I see it from a more broad perspective movie view usually hold meaning for me. My subconscious wants me to understand something.
