its 30-45 minutes away depending on traffic. I usually allow 60 minutes...because of traffic and road detours.

I don't mind arriving early.

About 30-40 minutes by express bus in the morning on peak hours.

Once the snow hits... I'll be leaving earlier and the time may increase slightly.

Always arrive before the office opens so I chill in a Government building nearby.

Just 15 minutes. But, I think if I had to drive far (like an hour even) to see my same T, I probably would.

it's only 5 miles for both Pdoc and T but it takes about 10-15 minutes to drive depending on traffic.

20 mins walk from home and 30 mins with public transit to work. I have a morning appointment so usually I go to T first thing and then to work.

I have suggested this to others before - if you can't find a suitable local therapist and prefer not to travel far, would phone or online therapy interest you? Many people find these helpful. I also often have phone sessions when I travel and can't see T in person and for me, these can be almost as productive as in the office since I have a strong tendency to focus on the verbal interaction anyway. Don't even like video chats, voice is better for me. Depends on the T though, I like the phone with my current person (who is very interactive and we have real conversations) but did not with former T (who wasn't so engaged).

T is about a mile and a half away. So about 4 or 5 minutes depending on traffic lights.

Pdoc use to be about 1 1/2 miles on other direction again about 5 minute drive. She recently moved and is 41 miles or 50 minutes away. Next mother they are transferring her to a different office about 8 miles further away. I willingly make the trip aams would do the same for T if the need arises.

About 15 miles, which is about 30 minutes without traffic or 45 - 60 minutes during rush hour.

It takes about 12-15 minutes from my home to my therapist's office and about 15-20 minutes from my job to her office. I do not drive right now and need to get a ride. This week, I am opting to see my T twice in person (on off weeks, I see her once and we do a phone session once - every other week we do see one another twice). Because it interrupts my work schedule to see her a second time this week, and because my family truly doesn't support me and will not take me the second time as it is during the work day, I am going to use Uber. I've never done so before, but it is important considering where I am at medically and emotionally. Sadly, while we do have public transportation where I live, it is somewhat limited and not the safest option.

My dietitian is about 25-30 minutes from my home and about 40-45 minutes from work. Her schedule is not flexible. I do phone consults with her mostly. While I'd like to see her more often than I do, neither her schedule or mine allows for it. And, my family does not want to take me to see her because they don't agree with it - it has nothing to do with her location as we frequent that area quite a lot. The other individual I see comes to me. She lives close to 75 minutes from me. She and I usually meet at a park. I'm not sure where we will meet come winter. We also have done phone sessions, but I don't prefer them with her or with my T - somehow, when I just have phone consults with my dietitian, I am okay with that. Maybe it has something to do with how emotional sessions can be with the others whereas my dietitian and I usually talk "business."

I would do anything in my power to continue seeing my T. It would be worth a longer travel time.

I think I'll probably have the record. My current therapist is 165 miles away. It takes me 2.5 hours there, 2.5 hours back to drive. I spend a day a week for one hour of therapy.

I originally started meeting with him three years ago. At that time, it was a 10 or 15 minute drive. I moved away and tried to meet with other therapists, but it went really badly. My husband could tell, so he is okay with me making the drive even though it's really expensive (I now use an entire tank of gas a week) and it's part of thte reason my son is in full-time daycare. This therapist gets me. It's worth it.

T: usually either she comes to my house or I visit her during a free period at school, and it's les than 5 minutes walking from school
Pdoc: a little over an hour one way.
