In the past I often used to ask T if anything was TMI (too much information) and she always reassured me that no, nothing was TMI. In my last session when I was talking about sensitive medical issues, I asked if it was okay to talk about, and she said "you can talk about anything." Of course I know that, but it felt good to hear. I never had anyone in my life I could tell anything to before therapy. I think it's why T is so important to me. I need her to help me talk about the things that bother me that I can't say. Her reassurance is validating. I'm wondering if others feel that way or if your T tells you what mine does. It's a little phrase, but makes me feel comforted.

Yes, it feels nice to have someone to say anything to, although I don't think I've ever asked if it was okay to do or not. She's always been welcoming and open to whatever I bring up.

I type up notes from all of my sessions with my therapist. His reassurance is often what gets me through the week or what gets me through the toughest issues, especially my recurrent issues.
