I'd assumed it was to check if I was still kicking around.

According to her (since like you, I did need explicit clarification) -- it was to let me know (unasked-for) that I was "still on her radar" and just because she wasn't seeing me (since I'd cancelled), she had not forgotten me (although yes, it is a trifle befuddling as to why she might think I needed such reassurance since I was the one who'd asked to cancel).

She also said that the 'Checking in' message could be answered with a thumbs-up emoticon (she has in the past been particularly partial to that emoticon, much to my horror).
Thanks for this!

I would probably answer it with the middle finger emoticon iOS has.
Thanks for this!

hahaha

I do not. I do e-mail between session sometimes because I am a processor, so sometimes I process the session more, and share those thoughts with her before the week tangles everything all up.

I did text my T last night (i have therapy on mondays) the answer to a question that I was dying to figure out during our session, but refused to take my phone out and google while I was there.
Thanks for this!
