Maybe a stuffed animal running on batteries that can move and talk ... because my therapist is all cute and sweet but I can't see him not moving / talking / doing stuff! He's very active in therapy and out.
Thanks for this!

A car. Something useful. Or a doona (comforter in America) so I have something warm at night.

An ipad or tablet, full of books, easily and readily accessible at the touch of a finger, that I can take with me anywhere. Sigh.

Lol, I'm sorry to interject but just had to say thanks to hankster for the 'real life' laugh. Was in sore need of one.

PS: the laugh is not a 'mocking' laugh btw. Just... stemming from a witty and humorous hankster.

No problem! I cant take credit for the idea tho, i was thinking of the precious robot butlers in Woody Allen's Sleeper. But still - its 2015 - shouldnt we have robot butlers by now??
Thanks for this!

T would be a gizmo I could hang around my neck. When I am in a socially awkward situation with someone, I could press a button on the gizmo and T's voice would make an intelligent/assertive reply.

My first instinct was "a tree" representing growth, I guess. I also use to love tress as a kid and would climb one every chance i got. It's something that allows me a place to get away to and a higher perspective.

Now, what kind of tree... is the question. Something that has arms just low enough to the ground to reach up to. Perhaps an Old Growth oak.
Thanks for this!

I think my T would be a stylish, yet comfortable pair of shoes. She's very stylish herself, and the shoes would give me support.

To continue with the clothing theme, my marriage counselor would be a very cozy, yet not particularly stylish sweater (he's, um, not particularly stylish) that would keep me warm when I'm cold and just give me a sense of comfort to have around.

A stuffed duckie that I could snuggle with. My T just kind of looks like a duck, and she is warm and cuddly so I think it would be perfect.

Bipolarartist, love these kinds of threads, it gets too serious here sometimes, and that's indeed a creative question from an artist.

I'm not currently seeing a T, not last few months, but the last one would have been a toaster.

I'm the toast bread, soft, not exciting, emotionally cold in the fridge. Go to her, she warms me up. In some ways she does it mechanically, does it for all breads, so although I want to feel special, she is warm...is a not so personal way. She just does her job. But I come out more fresh, with a nice tan, I'm tougher (also more delicious and crunchy, with a little PB&J, hmmm I'm so delicious!), ready to face the world!
Thanks for this!

The first thing that came to mind for ex T was a rock. She always seemed to have a hard edge, so a rock. But I've often thought that she needed a jackhammer to get through the layers of concrete I used to cover up my secrets. So maybe she would be a jackhammer.

At the present moment, I think she would be a tree. A big, many-branched, very shady kind of tree that I could sit under and lean back against and fall asleep and just dream.

In the recent past, when I thought I was never going to be able to break away from her, I would say invisible leg shackles.

I like the idea someone else said about an ipad full of useful books. That too.
Thanks for this!
