For fun. What drink would your therapist be? Extra points for therapisty name like LT's "it's ok IPA". Alcoholic or non. I'll have to think of mine
Thanks for this!

Reposting from the couch:
Going along with what I'm drinking now and something that marriage counselor often says to me as reassurance, I think his drink would be, "It's OK IPA." Of course, that might work too well for marketing purposes, since it might sound like, "Eh, the beer is OK, but not great." (He's said he's a beer drinker, too, but doesn't drink often now). Or perhaps "You Can Handle It Pilsner."

T would have to be a red wine, since I know that's what she drinks and it fits with her rather polished and sophisticated look. Hm, maybe a Shiraz (I'm not a red wine fan though, but it sounds sophisticated). Feeling Safe Shiraz? (She talks about how I don't seem to feel safe in life.) Or, hm, because there was a time she said she knew I wanted validation but she wouldn't give it: No-Validation Shiraz?

Actually, "No Validation" sounds like a good name for a cocktail. Just not sure what would be in it...
Thanks for this!

Organic vegan almond milk infused hormone free sustainably produced chai with chia seed herbal ginger tea. Something like that.

If it were a celestial seasons brand, it would have a sleeping monkey on the cover and maybe it would be "not my monkeys not my circus herbal blend"

DBC would be the cocktail Sidecar (cognac, orange liqueur, lemon juice). For obvious reasons.

No. 1 would be the Woo Woo (vodka, peach schnapps, cranberry juice).

Have to think about the other two.

Someone should invent a line of therapy cocktails: Attachment, Transference, Countertransference, Boundaries, Rupture, etc.

probably whiskey... quick, blunt, and to the point, but sometimes she makes her points a little too strongly!

Well, I happen to know from my facebook stalking that my T enjoys cocktails but I can't think of her as a cocktail because I don't really see that side of her in session - everything is usually pretty serious. I think my T would be a latte - warm, milky and comforting but with enough coffee to keep me on my toes.
Thanks for this!

How come all you guys get treats from your T??? I'm going to tell mine that I'd like bagels.

My T would be a commercial probiotic drink flavored with apple and salmon. (K: If you're reading this, you do drink some uniquely flavored things...)

Current T: Something like a Caipirinha -- I always think they're going down real easy and hardly hitting me, only to find myself suddenly completely sloshed (which kinda reminds me of current T's style).

Former T: A bitter tea (the bitterness by itself is supposed to be proof of its benefit for you but the claim is based on sketchy, anecdotal evidence of unknown origin).
Thanks for this!

Regular T would be a nice Irish Coffee - the warmth and the cool cream with the subtle kick of whisky. EMDR T I think would be something exotic you probably didn't know about but would be glad you'd been introduced to. Ex T would be peach schnapps ( which I've never tasted but I don't like peaches and imagine it tastes disgusting. Ugh. )
