I talked to my T and told him that I need weekly sessions and he said that he was working on it.

I'm so disappointed after the last session because we didn't feel in sync like the other sessions.

Now I'm laying in bed thinking about ways to kill myself.

With everything going on in my life, I need a weekly therapist.

My life is in a whirlewind with all the problems dropped on me.

And some of it is that my depression symptoms have returned and I called my PDOCs receptionist sobbing and told her what was wrong and she said that she would talk to my psychiatrist about it. I'm already on Effexor XR 150 mg once a day and Seroquel 300 mg twice daily to supplement my antidepressant.

Nobody cares about me. This world would be better off without me.

Sorry to hear that you are struggling.

Do you have any other supports in your life aside from your therapist? Family or friends?

Awww hope!!! This is actually good news that t is working on getting you once a week therapy. I know you can't see it right now because of the pain. I'm glad you reached out to your pdoc too. Just hang on and keep coming to PC. Keep telling those in your life who can help how bad the pain is. The world moves too slowly when we are hurting. But the good news is that t is working on it!!! Yes last session was not the best but you started off well with this guy. Can he contact you between sessions ? He sounded open to that.

He did say that during the "off" week when I don't have therapy that I could keep my thoughts and feeling in an email and send it on Thursday night and he said that he would read it Friday mornings. I can email him between sessions but he doesn't respond but he does read them. It helps him to get a picture of where I'm at. He is an excellent therapist.

Even tho I don't know you, I care about you. I care about every member. And there are a lot of people on PC who care about you too, even if they don't openly say that.

I'm sorry your medication isn't working out for you. I know how awful depression can be. It's rough.

But the good news is that your T is trying his best to accommodate you. So even tho you say no one cares, he *does* care about you! if he didn't care about you, then he would have said "nope, I'm not going to try giving you weekly appts"

Edit: hopefully the email thing works out for you

I'm sorry you are having such a difficult time and feel in a bad place ..
Do you have any friends you could have a hug/chat to on the week you can't see your T?
I really hope your T manages to sort out a weekly slot for you soon xx

One thing at a time, slow down. He is trying to work with you weekly-that is what you wanted.

Sorry you had a disappointing session and feel so bad.

Could you start working on the email to get your feelings out?

If he says he's working on giving you weekly sessions, give him a little time. Sounds like he's a good T for you, so just give him a bit to work out his schedule. Hugs...

Hope I know waiting for T is hard, but its a good sign if he said he's working on it, maybe he just needs time to move some things around.

Yes, Hope. Hang in there. Give T a chance to figure out how to get you in weekly. And if you want a med change (sounds like what you are doing isn't helping), I hope your pdoc gets you in as well.

WE care.

How does your psychiatrist usually respond - does he usually have his receptionist call you back to schedule an urgent appointment? Something else?
