Evening couch.

I am home and fed. Now I am catching up on the couch. I can't believe it is a new couch already.

CVS went pretty well today. I woke up before my alarm as I didn't clean last night and went to bed instead. Need to try to clean tonight. I have to work tomorrow. Should be time and a half. That'll be nice. Hopefully, it will not be crazy as it is me all day and one other person for 4 hours and that is it. Maybe people will stay home to be with family.

In other news...some of my co-workers today told me that I was odd because I did not think the guy in Walking Dead was cute. Eh... I don't know why but I don't really find guys or girls cute. It's like I am not attracted to either one of them. What would that be considered? Asexual?

Thanks LT!

I wonder if my t ever thinks about retiring; she's going to be 67 in about a month. Whenever I mention it, she says she wants to still be working when she's 100. She's pretty passionate about her work. But who knows...

(((jDNA))) I felt like that yesterday at work. Almost started crying from the stress at one point. It's so dumb that I don't apply everything I've learned about Shamanic healing to my own stupid self when work makes me wish I was a roly-poly bug.

Home from library and goodwill. I got several more books. Lots to choose from with T. Now I just have to hide them before wife gets home. Why??? because well they're picture books and I'm embarrassed/ashamed about having them, wanting them, and wanting T to read to me.

Possible trigger:

I brought my favorite book from when I was little-little to t one time - it's called "Becky Ann Visits Storybook Land" along with my little stuffed animal dog that I've had since I was 2. I held my dog and read the book to t. I wish now I'd asked her to read it to me... I hadn't thought about it at the time. I cried while I read it to her though because I just love the story so much even still at 54.

(eta wow I just looked it up on amazon and it's for sale there for $95!! holy smokes!)

Just felt like sharing a pic of my drum. I need to paint the handle of the drumstick-thingamabob, it's rather plain. Or maybe next time I go hiking look for the perfect tree branch on the ground to recycle and use, I've seen others do that.

(((Squirrel))) eeeuuuwww! ALL the people on the walking dead are dirty and creepy! i dont even take a shower every day and i say this!!

(((Elio))) what i find interesting about rereading my childhood books, is that i COMPLETELY blanked out the stressful parts. Theyre little kids books, how stressful could they be? Still, i remember the sweet and easy parts; the hard life parts - a kitten gets lost for half a chapter? - nope!
Thanks for this!

I'm really glad I ended up on the summer school list. Ive spent the majority of spring break lying in bed, doing nothing. I can't imagine what I would devolve to if I had 8 weeks off.

I can't wait to go back to work on Monday.

H and I started streaming 13 Reasons Why on Netflix tonight. We watched 5 episodes out of 13. Gotta take this one slow. Such a sad story.

The only children's books that I remember (before the Ramona books that I loved to read) were "The Little Engine That Could," "Are You My Mother?" & "Where Did I Come From?" Oh wait, and "Put Me In the Zoo." That one was awesome.

My son's favorite book for a good while when he was little was Richard Scarry's How Things Work. I read that to him over and over and over. He had a lot of favorites, he loved being read to, and I remember he would bring me stacks of books to read to him.

I don't remember books before the box car children and I was reading those. I don't remember being read to at all. I don't have many memories from early childhood, so I'm never sure if it is a lack of experience or lack of memory. I went to daycare and kindergarten so I'm imagining in one of those locations books were read to me.

I loved a series of biographies that were written for children. While they were very male-centric, I read all of them.

I read a lot once I learned how. Once I got old enough, I remember my grandma gave me all the Nancy Drew books that were my mom's when she was young and I read all of those, loved them.

My grandmother gave me my mother's nancy drew books too and then I read all of the ones I could find. I never got into the hardy boys although I tried a couple of times.
