I'm a big fan of the ellipsis, Munie! I definitely use it too much... you're right though, there's a lot being left unsaid in that email

I think my T was having scrunching problems with man bits today. I saw him grab his crotch in my peripheral vision and then he put his hand in his pocket and then pulled it back out. Men...... lol

I love that you're encouraging me... I think I'll freak out too much if I put that though. I'm already freaking out just at the thought of sending him a completely uninteresting email...

Putting "I love you" at the end would make it interesting! Hah...
Did you send it?
This kind of reminds me of sending a mail to any form of teacher. I spend hours formulating them, going over grammar and politeness over and over again, just to have them respond with a single line saying "yes" or "no"

my middle name is jane, and there was a staff member at the treatment place we met in that had a name similar to jane- janey pease, and i did NOT like her. i would rant to my T all the time about her. he didnt like her either. now he calls me janey pease. he did it so often that in one of the groups he was running people thought it was my actual name. its kind of an inside joke i guess

In Greek you'd be unaki, or unitsa, or unoula. We like diminutives.

I just got a really nice email back from my new T and I only had to wait 2 hours! As far as I know, she only sees clients on Tuesdays and Fridays and I don't know what else she does with her week, but it's awesome to get a nice and caring response at any time, never mind on what could be her day off!

This is what she said, "I'm sorry that you had this upsetting experience. It's difficult to maintain contact with a therapist one has left and if your old T wasn't able to be warm and open when she was working with you, I doubt she would be able to be that way now. I'm certain that she did care about you. She probably has difficulty showing it.

I would be glad to discuss this more with you at our next session. And it's certainly ok to reach out in between sessions.

Take good care,"

Methinks it's time to get my eyes checked again. I keep seeing this little flashing floaty things they are driving me batty. I've seen floaties for awhile now but they used to be a thin line but now it's thicker and has like a moving pattern to it. Weird.

Some time ago I posted about feeling "alien" to others...a different kind of human being, maybe? I wonder(ed) what was wrong with me? Etc.

T and previous T both told me trauma & PTSD can cause those feelings.

Yesterday, I watched documentaries about Beatrix Potter, illustrator/author and Dorothea Lange, photographer. I relate with some of their experiences. It made me wonder- do I have an artist's heart and just have not found the right medium, yet?
Is that what this is, I wonder?

Art, you're probably fine but do get checked out ASAP. New floaters, and especially flashing lights, can be a symptom of retinal detachment or (as they were in my case) uveitis, both of which need to be dealt with straight away.

Of course, they could also be nothing. It's normal for floaters to change and increase as we get older, I think.

I sympathise, anyway. I have a big grey cloud of floaters that lives at the top right of my vision, it annoys the fk outta me!

SPECULATION
Peasants ate porridge morning noon and night. If they had anything better, they kept it for dinner. As they got richer they could afford lunch, too. Breakfast was the least respected meal so that's when they ate porridge. And our breakfast cereal comes from that.

The French have abolished cereal altogether.
