Usually when I have a clear yes-or-no kind of decision, I know what I am going to do and only discuss it with T if I have a lot of feelings attached to it. More often I use her in the pre-decision phase where I am aware that I have a problem but I need to pinpoint what exactly is wrong. Only when I have a clearer understanding of the problem can I distill the issue into a decision. At that point the best way forward is usually pretty clear.

The other way I use her is when I feel stuck, I know what I need to do but cannot muster the strength or discipline to stop procrastinating and act. The decision then involves figuring out what are the steps involved in doing a task (sometimes surprisingly hard for me to do) and deciding which ones I can get to and when and identifying who else can be asked or paid to help with this problem.

I am very indecisive about some things and my T has helped me to make decisions in several situations.

No, I do not ask my T for advice when making decisions. Even if I saw her more often I wouldn't. I rarely tell her about "big" things that have happened to me or that I have decided, unless it comes up naturally in conversation. Perhaps this is good or perhaps it's bad but it is what it is.
