So, because it's after midnight here, it's officially been 1 year that I started seeing my therapist. I have come a long way with her, tho a lot of the time it can feel like 1 step forward 10 steps back. I wish I could get a hold of her this weekend just to hear her voice. Maybe I'll just call her office to hear her message.
Hopefully Sunday she will be at church. But if not, I pray she is definitely back Monday - she's supposed to be. I've been worried about her daughter!
I just started working Wednesday so being busy with school and work has helped out tremendously as I'm too busy to miss anyone!
I can't wait for her to come back though. I want to hug her so bad. I can't believe she's been *mine* for a year. A year

Congratulations, Stormy! I am coming up on my 1 year anniversary myself next month.

I'm curious--how many sessions did you have in your year?

I counted mine, and if I keep on track, I will have had 40 sessions in my year. It seems like a lot!

I've seen her like 65-70 times this year when I break it down and count it!

Wow, that's a lot!

I didn't count my 9 couples sessions in my tally. Somehow, they don't seem to count since they aren't individual therapy. (But they cost just as much. I don't even want to calculate how much money this has all cost. No need to get depressed!)

Therapist is back.
I went to church this morning. I was there before her (for a change). She came in looking for me A year. She didn't see me/us, so one of my littles popped up and gave her a hug and asked about her daughter. Her husband had to wait in the aisle because we stole his seat! My little one (a little boy) wanted to tell him that HE was the other man in her life, and that her husband had her LONG ENOUGH and that it was his turn now. I didn't let him tho! Whew

Congratulations Stormy! Looking back, isn't it amazing when you finally do see yourself headed in a positive direction. The one step forward, 10 steps back statement is so true, but when recognized, so helpful. Recognizing any steps forward or backward in the therapy journey is, I believe, the key. I'm celebrating one year myself. What a ride!

Peace
