Current status: pondering the etymology of "oodle"

Yiddish?
Something Scandinavian?
A nonsense term created out of necessity, like "googol?"

That or I just read something interesting, there are records of the term "boocoodle" being used for the same purpose in the South in the early-ish 19th century, as a corruption of "beaucoup" and meaning "a lot"

My life continues to resemble a game of Jenga...which I have only played once, with good reason. Crappy news today about a friend, the implications of which remain to be seen. Two sessions left before R goes on leave for three weeks. I could do with an extra Thursday in July. Time is not on my side at the moment.

I just woke up from a nightmare where we were all inmates in an asylum. You got demerits if you gave a therapist lip and 7 was the limit. I was at 6.5 and most people were 3 or 4.

SD was at 1. The asylum staff called her their perfect client.

And a hug to anyone else who wants one.

I'm exhausted after my IKEA excursion. I had never been before! They're massive. But I found everything I needed, and a bunch of stuff that I wanted but didn't need. Had lunch after IKEA.

Then on the way home, my coteacher's car overheated, had to drive without AC so it would stay cool. Then we got stuck in traffic. Finally got my car, and when I got back on the interstate, I got stuck in a backup due to an accident.

Despite all of this, it was a very good day. I'm really excited to work with her next year (unless I don't, since she had a phone interview yesterday for another job).

I still say boocoodle!

The kids and I had a great day, I'm exhausted and almost broke, she is now packing for her trip and I'm resting.

I want to be Wonder Woman even more now. And Steve's selflessness really pissed me off! Charlie was awesome in his kilt and that accent *swoon* and I'll shut up now.

Hugs and nods all around!

Keep watching. It's not just the writers using stereotypes. There's some irony involved.
