L passed on to me her ultra-hyper-sensitivity to fragrances. She was poisoned once and now cannot handle anything volatile and synthetic so switching to fragrance-free everything was a condition of becoming her client... after four years of this I too can no longer tolerate anything scented. My lungs and sinuses just surender immediately

You could check out Naot... they have beautiful ergonomic shoes with a footbed similar to birks... but they cost a kidney so none for me, nope

Yes, I am familiar with them (and their cost!), but thanks. I refuse to invest too much into "temporary" shoes...my birks are those foam ones, which I like because they are light and can be washed easily. It's about 100 degrees and humid where I live now, and I don't like suede footbeds...no sweaty foot imprints for me, eww.

Flash flood warning just came over my cell phone. Been getting those the past few days. Lots of rain and the washes fill up and overflow cuz the ground can't soak up the rain fast enough. Wonder how many idiots will have to be rescued out of the washes because they drive around the do not enter signs this time around?
