New avatar. I had very similar shoes in the sixties. Only they were real suede, and the (squared off, not slopey) platform and heel were also wrapped in suede. And the pattern was simply cut out squares. Sigh. They were beautiful. I was spoiled.

So I don't know if this is a hawk or a falcon. But, he was in my backyard a few minutes ago!!

I consider this a challenge.

I hate it when therapists run out of latex gloves. So maddening.

UGGHH. my co-worker (lead teacher in my classroom) whom i've worked with for the past four years, and we have an excellent relationship and agree on all major things toddler related just gave her two weeks notice

I sort of knew this was coming, but thought it would be in the end of December. I was out on vacation, then bed bug hell (still possibly have them), and i get to work yesterday and she told me.

Everyone tells me I should step up to be lead teacher (i am qualified and have worked with the 2 year olds for 5 or 6 years), but i just don't think i can do it.

So now they have to scramble to find a teacher in two weeks (as that is when the new kiddies come to school), and it is freaking me the eff out. Work was the one stable place I didn't have to think or worry about.

Agreed! The first question I always ask during the consultation is if they have a sufficient amount of latex gloves.

aren't most gloves latex free now, anyway?!
