He has a pretty good memory with important things. He takes notes but not a whole lot, sometimes just things I say. He usually writes down names of people I mention altough I wouldn't expect him to remember that. But I think he knows my best friends names and stuff. I don't care if he knows my cats name, but I like that he remembers stories and events, things I do or don't do, and things that were hard for me to talk about, sometimes even things that I forgot I told him, basically stuff that's important.
Thanks for this!

I guess at the beginning when my T didn't know me well, she didn't remember much about me. She remembered the important things about my health and our sessions, from her notes of course, but she would forget details I said (which was okay). Now I've been seeing her for a year and a half and she remembers many personal things about me, like where my extended family lives, my hobbies, my favorite type of music... it does make me feel good, like she cares about me. (I'm sure she always has, it just takes a while to get to know someone.)

I'm not sure if she if her memory is good or if she'll have me discuss things again to get me to talk more about them. Like I know she doesn't want to push me into talking about anything like my last therapist, but I can't really tell. Though she did remember the name of the store I bought a shirt from though I couldn't remember when I told her I shopped there. Yet she said she didn't recall my coming out story, when I know I glossed over it in the intake session.

I don't know. Sometimes she says things that make me think she doesn't have a good memory. But then she'll surprise me often with things she does remember. I guess her memory is good enough.

Her memory is excellent. She brings up things from years gone by that I never would expect her to remember. She doesn’t takes notes, she doesn’t care to do that.

Her memory is pretty good. She sometimes forgets details, but not the incidents and what they caused.
