Intended as a complement to the several threads about songs and therapy going on right now. But the question is about YOU, not what song would suit your therapist or your relationship with them.

Athletes often go up to bat or are introduced into a game with a theme song. It’s part of their image, it’s meant to get them going, the crowd identifies it with them. Like Mariano Rivera (highly successful baseball closer) entered the ninth inning to “Enter Sandman.”

So if you were to be piped into your therapist’s office with a theme song, what would it be?

March of the Toreadors.

Of course.

Not sure what it sounds like, but the title sounds cool.

Or the march of the elephants from aida. If there is such a thing.

Or probably just ravels bolero. Thats how the whole session goes.

Cat Stevens "The Wind".

Or maybe Melissa Etheridge "Gently We Row".

Where is Love? ( from Oliver). I told T that as she listened to my recording of me singing it yesterday!

If I can figure out how to post a link to it I will.

https://Youtu.be/wjJDekSculo
Not sure if that works.

It doesn't! Says video is unavailable. If anyone is interested, Google Where Is Love from musical Oliver!

In keeping with the New Order song (screen name) trend, I'll go with New Order's "Temptation." The "Ooooooo-oooooo-oooooo" fade-in intro seems a good way to walk in.

My song varies by the day, or hour. Ok, sometimes by the minute. Right now, my song is also the theme from Rocky cuz I am knocking **** out. Hopefully it lasts a while.

I think we may be using the theme song differently

I was going to say the theme song from Rocky, too, but that seems to be taken
Truthfully, when I'm manic, it would have to be Hail to the Chief, lol.
When I am depressed it would probably be Exit Music (For a Film) by Radiohead.

I could change to mission impossible or night on bald mountain or the theme from gollipoli. Any war movie where the good guys (me) outwit the bad guys (therapist) but suffer a lot of blood loss in the battle. I only said rocky because going to the appointment, before i started using it for grief about my person, was like going into the boxing ring with the therapist as the russian.

I'm not really good at this kind of game (assigning a song/music to an experience) but the first music that popped into my mind after reading the question was Dance of the Knights by Prokofiev.
Threatening music is how I feel about therapy.

Argonautomobile. I read that initially the wrong way.
I thought it was a taunt at the therapist
“Sha na na na nana nana na. Get a job. Shanana sha na na na na. Get a job. “

Okay, I just changed my entrance music.

Or maybe I can have exit music too.

It's kind of old but I'm currently feeling "Stand By Me" Vibes by Ben King.

"When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we'll see
No I won't be afraid, no I won't be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me"
