Im in psychiatric hospital now for more then week and I already feel addicted to my doc.
I hate it. I dont feel anything, too much meds but I feel so alone and I realised Im waiting for him everyday. But I dont feel attachment, its more like addiction. It makes me cry, I feel so empty and lost all my feelings even for my bf because of too much meds. I also dont feel anything for my doc but it makes me more sad, my loneliness.

Anyone else here feeling the same about hospital doc?

I've never felt that for my doc when I was inpatient, but I did get quite attached to some of the nurses. Could you just be feeling really isolated right now? From what you said, it seems like maybe you're just really lonely and longing for a connection, rather than addicted to your pdoc.
Thanks for this!

I agree. Inpatient just sounds like a lonely and vulnerable place to be. It makes sense that you'd long for the presence of someone who's trying to help.

I hope you get better, and feel better.

Inpatient was very hard for me as there was so little to do. My main doc became a focal point. Can anyone visit you or bring you good books? Trying to keep mentally busy may help

Thank you all.
I have been attached to a nurse when I was 15 and was in hospital.
You may be right.
I have books but I cant read, too difficult because of much meds but yesterday I bought coloring book and now I have activity to do.

Im gonna see my bf and Im afraid because its the first time I dont like to kiss him and I feel so numb.

Im not sure about my diagnosis, its in process yet but I feel that meds make me feel numb and empty

I wont see my doc for three days, yesterday I cried but today I simply know I dont have to wait for him to come in my room.

I’ve been inpatient several times. Weekends, especially, were boring.
Hope you feel better soon.

I was fond of most of the nurses and most of the other patients, but I was bored. Seeing my psychiatrist was the highlight of the day. I had the same pdoc in IOP and again it was great to getting out of boring group sessions. I talked to one of the other IOP patients one day and she had that pdoc outside and said he was terrible. Besides I liked my regular outside pdoc. It was just a thing. I wouldn't take it too seriously.

It seems most of you feel the same as me. So I wont worry anymore about it, I hope so.
Im afraid of unuseful attachment because my doc is younger then other's docs and he was my doc before I was here, he mostly works in other house but cames to me as his patient.
