I want and need support from a therapist. I sure like my current t. She’s been very helpful and supportive. But I do not need her.

Do I need her? No. She is incredibly helpful and understands me like no one ever has but I also got by for 40 years without her, I would survive on my own. That being said, I also wouldn't trade her for anything. She has been exactly what I have needed and we have a very good relationship.

I needed therapy. I'm lucky to have got the one I have now.
Do I need therapy now? Yes and no. But I love therapy so That's a mute point for me.
Thanks for this!

I think for my level of mental health I need a T, I'm kinda on the fence on wanting one but continue because I feel like it lessens the emotional burden on my friends and family. Like they know I'm seeing a therapist they'll think I'm better than I am.

Do I need my t? Not really. She is the best t I've seen though out of the 17 years I've been in therapy though. I would miss our weekly check in calls though. We don't really do therapy anymore. "yep, still alive, doing good and too busy to think about life right now" haha. tbh I don't think I could handle a whole hour of therapy right now with all the stuff I've been doing between going to the gym and volunteering, so this setup works well for me. If I do too much in a day it triggers my bipolar and I don't need that.

I didn't get anywhere with the other 2 therapists I saw before R. My child parts want and need him as a father and mother figure rolled into one. The oldest part of me doesn't need him, but he is the only source of support I have besides my younger brother.

I put I don't "need" my T. I probably do truly need therapy. As in my life is quite dysfunctional and with the proper therapy for the issues I have the potential exists for me to function quite a bit better in my life. But I don't personally feel a "need" for the person of my T or for any T in particular.

I'm not sure if I really "need" my therapist, but she is continuing to be helpful and that is the criteria that I have set for me to keep seeing her. It's been well over 10 years so she is SO much a part of my life, just hope she isn't too much a part of my life.
