I'm excited, I'm going to make my dog ice cream today or tomorrow (well, tomorrow since I forgot to put my special kitchenaid bowl in the freezer yesterday...). I've been letting her have a couple bites of plain vanilla ice cream I bought at the store occasionally ever since the day we did the pics of us eating ice cream for the memorial page. She really liked it, and she's lost so much weight recently. I just worry about the sugar and giving her diabetes since she's so old (19 in July!). That's why I'm making it, so I can substitute stevia for most of the sugar, and also so it will be extra fattening!

I got up at 5:00 am. I did not clean or do my early morning grocery store run, though. I did however get a shower.
I can get on board with a potato diet. And making dog ice cream. And drinking Stopdogs good scotch while jumping on the couch. Im not big on hot tubs-so I don’t know about jets that are placed in the perfect spot for women.

I've also been awake since around 5am, but was able to doze a bit. I'm dogsitting and the dog is extremely energetic. He kept jumping on top of me in my bed (painfully) this morning. Then, when I gave him his kong, he wanted me to play with him and brought it into the bed and kept tossing it at my face while continuing to jump on me. He's not huge, maybe 35lbs, but it hurts! He's only like a year old, so he's really still a puppy in behavior (although he is housetrained, thank goodness). My poor dog is NOT impressed with his antics. His person only brought one toy for him, so I've bought him a kong, a beef knuckle bone, and made him a wrestle toy out of an old shirt. I'm dreading when my roommate gets home from her conference, because I'm worried he's going to drive her nuts.

I need to clean the bathrooms and the kitchen and do laundry.
I want to weed the garden and trim blackberries out of the corner of the yard.
I feel wretched, exhausted and achy with a scratchy throat, and should probably go back to bed.

It’s a three-way tie which will win, so I am sitting in my chair reading the couch and Facebook until I get bored and/or caffeinated enough to choose one.

So it's a no go on the donkey. My sister just found out she's pregnant again! A wise decision on my sister's part to not get the donkey.

Goal for today: come up with a list of ten literary journals to submit my most polished short story to.

Probably just the first round in a lot of rejection.

Duotrope offer a week's free trial, I think...and thereafter it's $5 a month. You can filter quite extensively and narrow it right down to the markets which will accept your particular piece based on subject/length parameters. I used to enjoy browsing and finding new poetry markets, back when I was writing for the public eye.

Now it seems that I write to communicate with R.

Hi everyone, I'm new here. Mind if I pull up a seat? I've got beer and my cat. And just started watching Doctor Foster.

So my sister and her boyfriend got into a fight. He takes the baby and tells her to get out of his house. She's technically not supposed to be there anyways because there's a restraining order on her. Instead of leaving the house, she decides to trash the place.

To be continued...

I'm sorry, Scarlett.
I can't sleep!! Took so much Tylenol today but my legs hurt! I regret walking so far with my T Wednesday. I'm nauseous now. So tired! It's 2 a.m. by me. I can't take this much longer. ☹️ I think it's the sciatica causing pain. I'm getting nerve conduction test Friday. I am afraid of getting cramps during it.

Hugs, Scarlet, sorry you're dealing with sister drama again... Maybe her pregnancy hormones are affecting her?

Maybe?

So my sister broke 2 tvs, burned part of a porch couch, and cut the wires to the security system and computer. Her boyfriend called the cops on her and she was arrested last night. My H looked her up: she's looking at another felony. Her court date for the other felony and misdemeanor is this Thursday.

I feel bad for my sister. I don't know why she doesn't just leave. I endured a lot during my relationship with my H, but it rarely ever got to the point of legal issues. I mean, neither my H or I have been arrested.

And now she's going to have 2 babies.

Oh wow...OK, that goes way beyond pregnancy hormones. When you said "trashed," I think I just envisioned her making a mess, like pulling things off shelves onto the floor. But burning things, breaking TVs, cutting wires...that's a whole other level...I assume it's a felony because of the monetary value of what she damaged.

I didn't realize she hadn't been to court for the other felony yet (that was where she tried to hit her bf with the car, right?) I wonder if they could use what happened last night in court for that? Sorry you're dealing with this...
Thanks for this!

I dreamed about both of the women last night:
The first dream was about the second woman and her husband who is ill (I do not know with what in real life - he is in his 90s) and in my dream he was a stroke survivor (an aside - I do not want to survive a stroke). I was at her house and he was there playing "the Maple Leaf Rag" on the piano but he played it sitting backwards due to the stroke. The second woman was talking to me about taking care of him and we were discussing being caretakers.

I woke up.

The second dream was more elaborate about the first woman who was at, unbeknownst to me, a charity affair where I had donated a lot of my person's stuff. The charity affair was down a secret tunnel and the charity shop secret person in the back turned out to be the woman. At some point, I was trying to leave to go to a meeting with the dean of my college, but the woman was outside playing with my dog. She came in and we spoke. Some how it came up that she had been in prison for a year for some white collar crime like securities fraud - but not SF. I left and got caught up in a bunch of road construction and missed the meeting.

Neither were nightmares but they were both odd. The animals woke me up from the first one and I was a bit disappointed that one did not get to conclude on its own.

Yep. She hit her boyfriend with the car with the baby in the backseat. So one is for child endangerment and the other for assault with a deadly weapon. The new charge is actually for trespassing. She still has a restraining order against her. They probably will use this against her. She's pregnant and there's a good chance she'll end up in prison!

Scarlet...wasn’t she there at her boyfriend’s invitation? Didn’t they reconcile a while back? So how can that part be held against her?

Yeah. They were doing good for awhile there. The crisis house seemed to calm her down. But she was still in violation of the restraining order. The boyfriend tried to get it dropped, but the DA wouldn't. Now he's using that against her.
