I just started seeing a therapist for DBT individual sessions, I start group later this month. I find it hard to answer the questions she asks me sometimes. Its like I don't even know myself or something. This is my first real attempt with a therapist. I don't know. I guess today is only my 3rd session.

Familiar. If you never were allowed to express what you thought then you might not know what it is.

Yes, my therapist taught me to "check my heart" and I was astonished, "You mean there's a heart in here somewhere?" :-) Took me forever to find it and ask it what it wanted, etc.
