Has anyone done any adjunct therapy with their therapist. For example, if you are feeling stuck in therapy you might try something different with your therapist to work through the blockage. Instead of talk therapy you might try equine therapy together. The experience is supposed to help both the patient and therapist by facilitating better communication. Has anyone experience with something similar to this?

I participate in a variety of alternative / complementary / integrative therapies in addition to my own psychotherapy. However, my therapist does not participate with me. I do them on my own. It’s just my preference, but I would not want my T to participate with me. I can say for certain that my experiences with alternative therapies help me greatly and enhance my therapy. I’m very happy with how it’s all worked out for me. The only way to know is to try it.
