My T uses an automated service to confirm appointments. It sends me a text about 26 hours before my appointment. I am to reply "yes" to confirm or call her office line to discuss the appointment. It specifically gives the office line (which is basically just a voicemail box) rather than her cell number, which makes me wonder if she doesn't give out her cell number to everyone or if she just doesn't want to be dealing with paperwork stuff like that off-hours.
My pdoc's office sends text confirmations 1-2 days before, but these seem to be personalized. They used to call me. I prefer the text messages. In both cases I see them weekly and I appreciate the confirmation from their side that the appointment is when I am expecting it to be. |

I don’t receive appointment reminders. She just doesn’t send them. I’ve never asked her to send them. I guess I just automatically assumed it’s my responsibility to remember my appointments.

The clinic sends an automated text about 1 week before. You have to reply 1 to confirm, 2 to cancel and call the appointment hotline to reschedule.
