I agree with what LT said about temp agencies. But my experience is yay years old.

Ho hum - I guess it would take up time, and not leaving enough for all THE talking, though I've a one session when I did nothing but cry and only talk for the last 15..... .

It was the same with email contact, maybe I shouldn't have pushed that too.

Thank you! Though I think by now, he will think it's safe to stop checking his inbox. So i'm not going to hope for anything and I'm okay with that.

I just checked and counted that I'm on day 20/32. I think more than anything this break just taught me the need to be more independent from him. I've been on 2-3 sessions, perhaps once a week or fortnightly would be better for me.

My friend at work remarked "you're quiet today" and I started crying and told her about the crap with h last night. He told me this morning that he was crabby because his lower back hurt. Jeez if I called him stupid every time I had a sore back maybe we'd already be divorced. I don't like him very much right now.

Sounds to me like he woke up feeling guilty and looked for an excuse to proffer instead of a genuine apology.

Oh my poor little Artie.

Are you still at work or home now?

He can be in pain but there is no need for verbal abuse, because that's what it is.

Thanks everyone. I left for work right after I posted this AM.
I looked at all the responses. I’ve been looking for full time, part time and temp to hire. Anything where I can break into the business world and get out of nannying. I thought maybe anyone hiring part time might want less experience, but it doesn’t seem that way. I figure if I get less than full time work I can nanny on the side to make up the difference financially. But so far nothing is popping.
My sister just went back to work yesterday from her maternity leave so she said she referred me in but her boss told her if I don’t have a degree then I need equal experience in the field. He said he will take the referral into consideration because it’s coming from her and my sister did say she went to bat for me, but she said their thinking is that with The extensive training I’ll need -there might not be resources for that.
I’m not giving up. I’ll keep trying. I just feel defeated. I also realize I started my job search just when young adults were graduating college and stuff so naturally these places want the people with the most up to date skills.

Thanks, I'm at work for another 6 or so hours... I'll be ok. I'm the one that puts up with it. It's my own fault.

I've decided when I get home today to start getting rid of stuff I don't need anymore. That way when I do finally decide I've had enough and leave, packing will be easy.

Maybe the CODA readings would be helpful for him. Like, "this is what ive been getting into lately"? Then, if he actually gets anything out of it, well thats on him!

I think a lightbulb literally popped up over my head at one point during session today, like in one of those cartoons. It was also a bit like one of those Seinfeld episodes where there are all these seemingly unrelated threads that come together in the end. Like I tied stuff from Monday's session into lots of other things, and it's all making more sense now.

Artie, do you know if there is a group for people who aren't the codependent in the relationship?

There's doesn't have to be blame here.

Do you feel leaving is inevitable?

I don't think he realizes how serious things are. Could you sit him down after work and calmly tell him how you feel. If he isn't willing to meet you half way then that would effect any subsequent choices.

A ticket from London to California is as cheap as £196. (September is obviously the cheapest month).

To Seattle: £186
