The caboose is always red unless driven by an operator with red hair, going over one hundred miles in half an hour through Texas, or the last passenger to board has ever been to Croatia. In those cases, the answer is just no trains left the station that day. This is a very advanced math formula most textbooks skip over.

I don't know if a 1/2 inch mass is actually that small for the pancreas since the pancreas is only 2 x 6 inches. However, not all pancreatic masses or tumors are cancerous. In fact, 80% are benign. I hope this eases your mind somewhat.

H is out on a job so I have another hour & 15 minutes before he expects to be home, so I started reading Chapter 1 of my textbook. The homework for this chapter isn't due until 9/5, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to get a jump on the reading anyway! Taking a little break to eat lunch. I went out shopping again earlier and bought some new pencils (spoiled myself and got Ticonderoga ones) and a decent pencil sharpener, and some more notebook paper. I am set! The prof is old-school so none of our class is going to be done on the computer, all assignments and exams are hand-written.

Oh, that reminds me that I have to sharpen 20 pencils for D by a week from Tuesday for first day of school...perhaps I should just buy an electric sharpener...I recall getting wrist cramps last year.

Maybe your daughter could help with the pencils - something doable like 2 a day and then on to something fun (although I like sharpening pencils - very immediate gratification)

I am a big believer in taking notes by hand. There are studies to back me up about how it helps people learn. I ban computers/cell phones etc in my classes although I do accept their final on the computer.

I paid like $14 I think for the one I bought. Not as much as I thought they were going to be... and it has an auto-stop thing so it doesn't just keep eating the pencil beyond where it's sharp haha

LT, if you haven't already purchased pencils for D, get Ticonderoga. There is a reason Artie said they're a splurge, but they are so worth it. Teacher approved.

Otherwise, I hope you're all well. Hugs and positive vibes as wanted.

I think I'm having my first proper rupture with T. I sent him a very nasty email last night and want to cancel my Tuesday session.

The mention of pencil sharpeners brings up such a satisfying feeling. I love the sound and smell and feel, especially the first part of sharpening a new pencil. I have not sharpened a pencil in forever, but the sense memory of it is powerful.

I discovered One Mississippi last week. I'm sorry there were only two short seasons.

An acquaintance of mine called and put a friend of hers on the phone, said the friend was a therapist. The friend then started to educate me about a particular kind of therapy. It was insulting and also felt invasive. I asked my therapist if she would ever do something like that. She said if a friend asked for advice, she might give it, but she would never talk to someone a friend put on the phone, especially if they were already in therapy. So anyway, I saw this person recently by accident and they were clueless and irritating to be around. It made me feel badly for their clients.

Wait, what?

I'd get un-acquainted with the acquaintance real fast unless they have super redeeming qualities.

Thank you. It was just awful. Worse was knowing that my mental health seems to be a popular topic. I did really well and was civil at the time (just barely). I cannot avoid this acquaintance, but judging by how they were toward me days later (angry), I would say they knew it was wrong. Their way of responding when they're wrong is to lash out.
