I have to go and see my shrink this coming Tuesday and I am a nervous wreck the last time I went and saw him he was rude treated me like I was nothing. I guess he doesnt like it to much that I know a lot about the meds I am taking the side effects and stuff like that.I do look up the meds I take. Like I was on Depakote for years before I had to finally force him to take me off of it. Actually the last time I went there I told him right off I am not going to take the Depakote anymore it was making me sick. He wouldnt listen to me before so I had to say something, Why wont the doctors listen to us when we try to tell them something?? I really don't think they understand anxieties all to well and far as depression goes all they think it is is crying it is much more then that. I am so afraid to go out .I am an agoraphobic but I need my meds. I could use a few prayers to get me through this . This is about the 5th doctor I have already seen at this place already, they quit after 6-12 months.I dont know I feel more comfortable with a woman doctor then a man anyway. I feel so all alone.

'Professionals' sometimes get tetchy when they find that their customer seems to know as much/more about something than they do. Sometimes, though you have no choice but to be firm about something you know not to work.
I hope the appointment goes better this time around. ![]() |

Well I made it he was so nice this time probably because he knows not that I am going to let him get away with anything,he took me off of requipt and put me on something else,he told me my shaky feeling and the fear of falling can be a side effect from one of the meds I am taking but he is so wrong on this I told him restless leg and also effect your arms he said no,I did research on it it says it can effect other parts of your body too.I am on inderol that is also good for you anxieties.to.

I'm happy your pdoc was much more understanding of your med concerns. Plus being more okay with your med knowledge. Some docs, primaries, any specialties think they're G-ds gift to humanity, Many pdocs believe their clients should be on psych meds no matter how the drugs effect their patients.

I'm so glad to hear that he was kinder this time! That's a relief. Hopefully, he was just having an off day before.

Maybe he had a change of heart or had a bad day. Whatever the reason, I'm glad it went better. Maybe he has an evil twin?
