This is a chatty thread. All are welcome. We're kind of psychologically oriented, sometimes. We try to be supportive. At times we discuss what that means.
It’s a place to plop down on the couch when you come home from work or wherever, or wake up in the middle of the night, or check in at lunch, rant a bit or not, and be among friends.

We advise you not to drink or drug and text your therapist ("T") - we speak from experience.

Sometimes the thread moves fast and you might get overlooked; sometimes it moves slowly and all you hear are crickets. Sometimes you get hugged or thanked pages later. So if it's a bigger question, you might want to start a new thread.

Grab a cushion, a spot on the floor, or an armchair in the corner and make yourselves comfy!

KFC tonight.

They always remind me of Alan Parsons Project. I used to have one of their albums on cassette but I lost it during my 'summer of love' haha at the Grand Canyon....

I've been journaling and that has helped. I got in touch with my care manager who is looking into other services for me. I'm supposed to see t Thursday but not sure if I should even go. I feel like leaving t during a tough time isn't the best idea so I'll probably keep seeing her until I can find a replacement. I just feel like nobody understands me. I get that some people won't but I feel like t should. There are certain topics I try to discuss and t either mentions referrals or doesn't to want to talk about it. If I went to all the people she referred me to I'd be seeing three ts for three different things which doesn't make any sense, I think I'm just going to try to find a t who is at least willing to try to do it all.

I think it might be best to try a new T if you don't feel understood. Three T's sounds like a lot, unless they have very specific areas of work like EDMR only.

I watched this clip my sister sent me- about someone feeding wild chickens junk food.They ere signs that said don't feed the chickens but he did anyway. The cruelest thing was that he got a roasted chicken and put it in the middle of a cake. That was my first thought when you mentioned KFC.

My brain's been up since 3.32 am. It's now 4.54, i still feel nauseous. I have the second part of the computer test.I'm okay with not passing because i can come in next week and go straight to the practical and hopefully get this exam over and done with. My
mum comes back today at like 6pm and I see R tomorrow again .

It's 4am and I need to go back to bed.

I'm scared in case nightmares decide to bother me

I borrowed a dream book from my t this afternoon, then came out of my session to read dream discussions on the (previous) Couch. Serendipity.

Lemoncake, I didn't get to respond on the last couch but as someone abused by a sibling too, it's not normal child's play if it involved coercing you (thru whatever means) into things. It can occur between kids of the same age too.

Around 8pm I couldn’t stand it anymore-

I ordered Chinese food (and a 2 liter bottle of soda) and had it delivered!
I’m so irresponsible with my money. Lol. But the Chinese food will last me a couple of days.
Ha!

Definitely need to buy soda tomorrow or who knows what food I’ll have delivered ....

Wish a certain sibling of mine wouldn't walk around topless. Small things about them can be triggering. I'm almost 30 and afraid of that sibling still.

I understand why you might feel that, especially if you grew up unwanted.
However, this is probably a "cognitive distortion" and not actually true.

has anyone ever actually experienced this elusive thing called sleep? i have heard tell rumors and stories of it but havent discovered it yet
