Saw pdoc today. She has been my pdoc for about 9 years. We worked at the same facility for about 2 or 3 years before there. About 2 years ago she went to a clinic about an hour my house. I followed her because she is the best. Today she told me there are a lot of changes coming down the pike at the clinic she works at. Many people are leaving. She assured me she isn't going any where. How do I believe that? A few years ago I had the perfect team. A PCP who I adored because she listened to me. a T who was always there and never made me feel like a freak, and a pdoc who not only listened but was patient when I refused to take recommend meds our of fear of side effect and weight gain. Now I have new pcp who I just go to for a annual exam for the basics, EMDR T is trying so hard to help me but is not T, and the same Pdoc who has been my lifeline over the last few months. If she leaves I am so done.. I can't handle any more of this.

In the end relationships are appliances. Appliances use to last 25 years before they MIGHT die. Now of an appliance lasts 10 years you are lucky. In the past medical provider spent their entire careers in one location now it is like any other job where providers leave every few years.
Guess whose refrigerator died today after 1 years!!!
