I personally don't understand the difference between an adult who has anxious impulses to touch children and teenagers who have anxious impulses. If the teen isn't treated isnt it likely to go into adulthood? Yes they should have better decision making skills but I dont personally think they say hey I really want to touch that kid to get some sexual gratification. At least that's never been the case with me but I suppose for some it is the case. Maybe I have a impulse control problem but manage it well.

I don't know much about you, but my guess is these issues are OCD not trauma. You could search for a specialist for OCD to find someone to address your issue properly. What you are stating is very common (from what I've read over the years) in the OCD population.

The best example of an OCD case I ever read was People of the Lie: The Hope for Healing Human Evil by M. Scott Peck. I never got through it because it was so triggering but the first case was about OCD and the roots behind it; it was very informative. Another way you can learn more about is to google the key words perversion and paraphilia which may lead you to answers about yourself. Quote:
Again, this is an very common issue with people who have OCD. You can have OCD and emotional abuse. One can have OCD and sexual abuse. Once can have many things with OCD. OCD might be the thing making you miserable and leading to anxiety and angst that prevents you from living fully. Last edited by Anonymous56789; Oct 29, 2018 at 08:42 PM. |
