I worked in retail during the time I was in uni and black Friday was always such a fun time. We didn't have the craziness of say Wal-mart because I didn't work in a store that sold electronics, but the amazing energy of people out there shopping, trying to get good bargains, makes the day incredibly fun. And it goes by quickly. It was like wow, ten hours went by and it only felt like two because we were so busy. On a normal day, there were ebbs and flows and down time, but on black Friday weekend (because it is the whole weekend) it is just all sorts of fun-ness. Now I can't imagine shoving people out of the way to get to a TV or something, because that's just too much. But knowing people were shopping for others and feeling their happiness that they got a good deal on something that hopefully the other person loved, it's just a good feeling. Kit.

I've chosen to not go in the end. I used to carry pepper spray until I lost it.

Really random Couch poll. Not sure how many of you are current or former smokers (former here), but if you are/were: Did you ever smoke in the shower?

I never would have thought to smoke in the shower. A wet soggy cigarette does not sound enjoyable.

It came up in session today, where I was talking about how smoking went from just social to...not just social (quit like 10 years ago). In comparison to alcohol. I was like, “ then I went to smoking on my balcony, smoking in the car at times, smoking in the shower.” T: “Smoking in the shower?!? That would take some skill!” I think I just assumed was common but asked another former smoker, who said no so just curious...

I've been an on-an-off smoker for many years - and so have most of the people I know. Keep quitting then starting again. Currently smoking about a pack a week

Anyway, of all the many smokers I've known, only one has smoked in the shower. They left the cigarette going on the sink or toilet, reached out of the shower to take a puff, and set it back down, until they either finished the cigarette or it fell off the sink/toilet and burned a hole in the bathmat.

I tried it once or twice but didn't find it very pleasant

I don't smoke tobacco, but I've smoked weed in pretty much every spot possible, including the shower.

I'm not a smoker LT so doesn't apply.

Can I get pocket riders for t? Going for the first time in 2 1/2 weeks and want to try to admit something embarrassing. I leave in a little over an hour.

I was a social smoker for many years but can’t say it ever occurred to me to smoke in the shower.

Former smoker here. Never crossed my mind to smoke in the shower. Breaking the habit of smoking in the car, however, was the worst.
Thanks for this!

Former smoker here, smoking in the shower was not a habit of mine, but in the bathtub with a book was!

I'm in for a pocket rider, if it's not too late. If it is, I hope things went well.

I am against a lot of the motivational books, the books that invalidates emotions other than happiness. My T knows this and he was brave in recommending a book called, "10 Percent Happier." So, I bought it on my Kindle and I have only started reading it, and I think it is hilarious. It is very witty and the author is describing how our inner voices "heckle" us all the day long. I haven't read much more, but it is about mindfulness. He talks about how if you are ten percent happier, that putting forth an effort to be mindful, it will have been a good investment. Just thought I would share. I was "into" listening to mindfulness CDs (long time ago) but it ended up calming me and I was anything but mindful.

What movie were you gonna see? I had to go to the post office, so i went to see "Free Solo". It was AWESOME!!! I gotta start taking myself out on Artist Dates again.

It got out at about 5 and the almost full moon was just up. So it was still pretty big.

I got a new puffer coat, this one is long almost to my ankles. It wasnt that cold today, but i was noticeably more comfortable on the bus. There is usually a draft on the bus, but i was all cuddly and warm. But not TOO hot when i stopped in the drugstore.
