So, I just talked to my mom tonight, and she was upset that I'd never replied to an email she said she sent me a week ago. I did a search of my email in vain. I had her forward it to me. It looks like she sent it to herself instead of me. So...yeah think I'm off the hook. Sigh...

You can do it, Unaluna!
I'm going to try low carb for awhile. I need to lose back the 10 lbs I regained.

Got hit on today, at my new job, on my first day, by a co worker LOL.

So funny, that never happens to me. Made me giggle.

Which is good I suppose, seeing as hell day is tomorrow

I need to stop reading the news on this case especially before bed. But ugh, it's basically family so how do I just ignore it?!

H went to hospital again this time for a bp of 150's over 90's. I told him he's having an anxiety attack and we got into a fight. I called his mom, but she can't get through to him. I tried calling, and it seems like he shut off his phone. I need help! I need help out of this relationship! I need help tonight! But I'm all alone.

Session in an hour and a half. Lots that I want to talk about, but need to feel safe in the interim. Such fun. Anybody around to pocket ride?

Thanks, BCM. Of course I don't mind. There's something reassuring about animal company.

What a disaster this afternoon was. I worked myself about the cancelled session on the 7 th jan so i texted T to see if we could have brief chat he rang, i did not expect him to, i had to ring him back i freeze and panick on the phone so the whole thing was a bit garbled and in the the end i got annoyed and hung up. I hope he doesnt think i was mad at him. I just didnt ge the message that the session was cancelled even though iitook the phone call kast week. Why cant my brain just work right for a while.

My husband had knee replacement surgery on Monday and we got him home yesterday. All things considered, he's doing pretty much as expected. They sent him home with an ice machine and anti-deep vein thrombosis cuff which are helpful. He starts outpatient physical therapy this afternoon. The doctor said the amount of deformity and bone spurring in his knee was pretty severe which is why the surgery took longer than usual, but it's amazing how much straighter his leg is now, particularly compared to the other (which will have to be replaced later this year once he's recovered from this surgery.) The care at the hospital was excellent (and we've pretty much used them all in the area over the years). Our sons have been extremely helpful and will be dad-sitting while I finish up the last 7 Christmas concerts this weekend. I spent both nights in the hospital with my husband, so it was nice to sleep in our own bed last night. He managed to sleep until about 4AM before the pain woke him up which I count as a success.

One of our pastors came to visit in the hospital and the other has called and kept up with progress on FB. Our old therapist (who we FB with these days since we haven't been his clients for ages), also wrote kind words of encouragement for my husband's recovery. Lots of family and friends and coworkers keeping are keeping tabs on him; we are well-loved and supported which is half the battle.

I will go back to work next Monday, but it is the last week of the semester and then I'm home again for a couple weeks. This week our sons will be able to help during the day. Middle son lives at home and works close by, and youngest son finished finals at college today, so he'll also be around. Daughter in law is a nursing assistant (at the hospital where surgery was done actually), and can also help out on days she isn't working. It takes a family.

Thanks BCM and LT...

LT - you were right on time. Funny session, as in 'It's hard to do therapy with someone else in the house.' I have empathy for those of you who meet in T's home now. Even though R and I meet in my home, it's difficult with relatives being home as well.

Sorry I missed the pocket riding. I had one t I saw at her home. Her inconsiderate daughter would stomp around upstairs sometimes so t had to yell at her. Then once her husband tried to open the door to our session. I was furious but then t told me he had dementia so he didn't know what he was doing. She ended up hiring an aide to stay with him in the future. I also once had a different t that came to my house, that was kind of nice.

Wow that sounds like a disaster. A therapist really shouldn't work from home in that kind of environment.

Yeah she would have been better off in an office. She got all weird on me at one point for unrelated reasons so I fired her.

I saw t in her home since she moved back here in August of 2015. Never had an issue, I never really thought about other people being there as I never heard anything. I imagine it would be weird to be aware of others because of noise.

I'm stupidly happy. I did my first cannulation today at stupid o'clock with a nurse who was really nice and I passed my pharmacology test too, which I was actually worried about. Because I'm a dork I'm gonna go to the hospital on sunday because I want extra OR time with our surgeon.

I'll remove the picture later:
