I'm sorry to hear that. If it helps any, every time L and I went through a rupture, while they were painful, repairing them made our relationship stronger. I learned so much each time and I'm so glad that I stuck it out even though there were moments when I never wanted to see her again. (Yay for my stubborn inner 15 yo.) Getting to the place I'm at now was worth it all. Hugs.

Thanks Art. I guess it just feels like this is a rupture we've had a zillion times before, and if he still doesn't get it, will he ever?

Congrats, Lemoncake, on your test scores! The process of becoming a doctor sounds really stressful. I don't know how you and chihirochild do it.
Thanks for this!

Artie you've got this!

For me Christmas has always just been about the kids (my siblings!), but what do you want to do this year?

Send him photos just casually asking about recipes and I think he will invite himself over. xD

I need to read your other ITS post, but based on what I've previously read about your relationship with T. I think you will also get through this too.

Thank you NP! Sometimes I really don't know either. It honestly helps that I have R.

How was your group team building event?

I was teasin'. Peaches are my favorite fruit I think there's only so many cookies you can eat before you run out of milk. I luuuurve buying them when they're on sale.

It’s really the only time he showed aggression towards her since he’s been here so hopefully that was just a one and done for him to say “Hey-this is my space” He’s so much bigger than her. Old dog is a 15lb rat terrier so he could easily hurt her if he wanted to but I don’t think he wants to.
I had a hair appointment for 6:15 tonight that I canceled. I just don’t feel like physically being around people today. Plus it’s a week before Christmas and I need the money to purchase my final 2 gift cards.

I hope you have a good night tonight. It's okay to stay in and not be a people person.

Did you manage to talk to the vet?

Please could somebody tell me that it's OK to abandon a project if you've tried it four times, and it hasn't worked out?

It was okay. I only cried once and I don't think anyone noticed. And I had a good phone call afterwards with my therapist. The team building activity was to decorate gingerbread houses in teams of 3, which isn't a terrible idea, except I am NOT in the Christmas spirit this year and the combo of gingerbread houses and Christmas music was too much for me.

I'm sorry it was a trigger for you. It's perfectly okay to not be in the Christmas spirit.

I'm glad T was there was there for you? Did T come up with was to suport you whilst he's away?

I was having a bad day yesterday and told him I didn't want to make a plan and then some other hard stuff came up and he came and sat closer to me again. He mentioned at the end that he had a few ideas so we'll talk about them tomorrow. He emailed me last night to tell me the time right before my normal time had opened up and did I want to come in early so we'd have the option of meeting longer. I feel like I don't deserve his kindness.

Holy carp. This sounds like a team building exercise from A Clockwork Orange. In MY day, such an endeavor had us imagining we had crashed in the desert, and it was about WORK, not the holidays! I worry about millennials.

Although I can't be sure, most of the people on my team are not millennials. More like Gen-Xers or older.
