I am not scared of snakes, but it took me by surprise. It was a black rat snake, just chilling in a bag hanging on some hooks on the back of the pantry door. I guided it into an empty garbage can and let it outside. Then there was another later that day. I tried to snatch it, but its tail slipped through my fingers. The snakes were pretty large - about 3-4 ft long. Luckily, all of the snakes that ended up in the pantry (I think there were three or four total before we found the entrance point) were harmless black rat snakes. They weren't at all aggressive. I actually freed a copperhead from some netting once and she wasn't aggressive, either.

I like snakes just fine if they stay where they belong, which is NOT IN MY HOUSE.

We get them from time to time even though the house is pretty clean. I think the presence of mice is more a testament to the effectiveness of their survival strategies than the cleanliness of a home.

I've had mice in a house I grew up in. They'd climb into the heating vents to warm up. Without us realizing, we'd turn on the heater and roast them. Then dead rat smell went through the whole house...eeww.

We also had a mouse in the condo H and I lived in. Came through from a hole behind the stove. We simply laid out a trap, caught it, then sealed up the hole.

Mice have nothing to do with cleanliness.

Yup you will fit in!

Pet photos also get you extra brownie points. What are your OWNERS called?

There is actually a forum for pet photos and such.
I wouldn't post pictures of my pets on the internet. That is one of the things I think can identify you. Photos.

That's true. Especially if you also have stuff in the background like a specific store.

I like knowing new stuff. One can never have too much stuffing. xD

EDIT: Cerberus= In Greek mythology, Cerberus, often called the "hound of Hades", is a multi-headed dog that guards the gates of the Underworld to prevent the dead from leaving.

She could ask Mr Wonka's squirrels which ones are the good nuts.

Also the problem with filming Helen of Troy is no one lives up to the face-that-launched-a-thousand-ships* stuff.

*It was actually 1196 or 1206, I forget which.

Even if they had gotten an actress whose face could have launched 100 ships - that would have been something.

My kid is auditioning for a thing. I am sitting here wondering: How many hours have I spent waiting for one of my kids to audition for a thing? Or get out of rehearsal? It’s kind of turned into my time to relax. 😄

I peopled all day long, so I found an empty room with a comfy couch and am doing word puzzles. By myself! I can hear all of the extrovert theater parents laughing in the other room while they wait. They are lovely people and I usually enjoy chatting with them but not tonight. It’s so quiet in here!

Yes, but when one reads Herodotus and realizes he also has a catalog of ships, one counts them wondering if it’s the same as the other catalog of ships. One of them is 1196, one is 1206.

Don’t tell me you wouldn’t have done the same.

I'm in a terrible mood and it has nothing to do with T. If I wasn't so poor and lazy, I'd go get wasted... I just can't deal with life right now

I talk about my feline overlords publicly on other parts of the interwebs, so I'll refrain from posting their names or photos, but one's a calico and the other a brown tabby. The kitten acts like a (poorly trained) dog. She fetches (though not on command, obviously bc she's a cat), steals food and growls if you try to get it back, especially with waffles, and has peed on my kids' beds. She's fun.

Im just so fed up.

It could just be water weight. I think I once read with women, that depending on where we are in our cycles, weight can vary by 5 pounds, but it's just water weight. I've also read it's better to only weigh yourself, say, once a week (though maybe that's what you're doing?) so such fluctuations aren't noticeable. It could also just be your body adapting to the new eating pattern.
