My T said she would love to do EMDR with me but only if she could see me five days a week which she can’t. She is worried how disregulated I would gets so she says it is too risky if she can’t monitor me.

My T wants to start it with me. He knows I have a pretty awful history and no support system. He has not mentioned increasing the frequency of sessions which, right now, I would be all too eager to agree to. He has mentioned that we are going to have to really work on strengthening my skill base for self regulation. He knows I did a lot of CBT but he has some different ideas to build me up before we start. So if it is something you want to try maybe your T can help with that? I know some times it becomes one of those loops where you need the skills for the EMDR but you need the EMDR to calm things to work on the skills.
