I forgot something. I sent her a holiday present, through the mail. She didn't acknowledge it for quite a few days, so I finally sent her a message (I think this was before the texting stopped.) and asked if she'd received a package from me. And she wrote back, "Thank you for the lovely X."

It may take some time to feel connected to her again as she has been out for so long.

From her reactions, I believe she will be receptive to your feelings, whatever they are. So, by all means, keep talking to her about not accepting her apology etc.

I also don't think she will hold it against you for not sending her a "get well" card. There is no expectation for clients to send anything yet, it may lead to productive discussion.
Thanks for this!
