He's on vacation. He offered me an appointment to see him before he left, but when he originally told me the date, I had forgotten I had requested that day off from work for the hell of it weeks before and told him I had to work and would not get back in time before he left that afternoon. I did realize the mistake before he actually left, but realized it might seem really strange if I said I was working and then all of the sudden "oops, no work!" I was worried he would think I took the day off on short notice just to see him and he would end up thinking I'm too obsessed with him. So I accepted the loss to avoid the awkwardness.

ugh.

I really wish I saw him. These days are dragging.

Hi MorrowMore: I see this is your first post here on PC. May I extend a warm welcome. I hope you find support, encouragement, friendship and comfort here.

About your T (therapist) being on vacation: boy I've been there. I understand. It's an intense feeling to miss one's T whilst they are away. How long is your T going to be gone? Can you think back to a time where you internalized your T? Like what would your T tell you right now? Can you remember his voice? It can be helpful to imagine what he might tell you in his voice. Hang in there. It's rough, but we are here if you want to talk. HUGS Kit
