mom just took her first shower after surgery
I had to help undress and dry her off and redress her I'm extremely trigger3ed on the porch trying to not start crying!! I'm just helping her!! it's not wrong or bad!!! it's fine!!!!!

Of course you are helping her. As someone recovering from surgery too, I can tell you all help is appreciated. So even though its hard, you did good.

Provided you feel safe doing this for your mother, no it isn't bad or wrong, it is just helping her. Kudos to you bc NO way could I do that for my mother!

So sorry JD. I was a personal attendant for a while in college and really struggled some times too. One person I worked with used to bathe with a T shirt on that we washed under but it gave her privacy. Don’t know if that might help or not.
