I've never had to get a shot at the dentist but I had to get blood drawn recently and the lady was like, oh you have deep veins. I was like did you find it? She said, "I hope so!" And I said, "Well, lucky for you I'm not scared of needles!" She smiled and got it on the first try.

What about rock climbing?

I shake and cry at the dentist. I have a serious phobia. Remember when I had to get a tooth pulled and got dry socket after? I cried buckets during that whole escapade.

Heading out for an after-work walk. A long one. I need my walks. Major head-clearing space.

Since childhood I’ve been able to go into a kind of zone at the dentist, usually staring into the mediocre wall art. I still remember my childhood dentist’s pictures very clearly.

Today feels like it is never going to end (at work) but at least after work I am going to have coffee with a friend! Yippee! We haven't been able to get together for a few weeks because my Dad had surgery and she was sick so yay! Kit

Hi guys,

I’m wandering in...

DD had a defibrillator implanted last June. Recovered well. Then the darn lead unattached itself from her heart so they had to do surgery to reattach it.

Then, a week ago, she got shocked- almost knocking her out of the shower! She contacted her doctor and we went to the Heart Hospital ER. Found out the freakin’ defibrillator misfired because one of the leads came apart again! Her heart rhythm was just fine!

ER wanted to admit her because, well, they kept saying, ‘you could die’ . She didn’t have enough Paid Time Off to let herself be admitted so she signed out AMA.

Her heart surgeon said in the twenty years he’s been practicing, he’s never heard of this happening. He faxed her records to the Cleveland Clinic and the Mayo Clinic for advice.

The newest surgery is scheduled for March 15th. He’s removing all the old wires and device and implanting a plain defibrillator (that won’t pace her heart). So now she will have two surgery wounds to heal.

BTW, she works for the company that owns the Heart Hospital.

Thankfully, her coworkers got together and donated paid time off so she is able to afford the surgery.

Hopefully, they will get it right the third time!

I'm back from my walk, got to 2 miles again woohoo! I'm at 3.23 miles for the day. I have decided to set a goal of walking 3 miles a day. It really makes me feel good, clears my head from the 10 hour work days, keeps me down in my body, etc.

Of course at the moment I want to kick my shoes off and go soak in the tub... and who knows if I'll make 3 miles tomorrow... but I'm gettin' there!!

I’m allergic to penicillin.

I remember taking it when I was 9 and going into shock.

Yikes! I'm OK with penicillin, but am allergic to sulfa antibiotics (like Bactrim). They said I got drug-induced lupus from it, with a rash and joint pain (went away once it got out of my system). H recently had to take it for a staph infection and I was afraid to let him kiss me or anything. Oh, and I had to give it in liquid for to one of my guinea pigs years ago--I wore latex gloves when I administered it to be safe.

More snow this weekend, lots of it possible. I may actually puke. I'm sick of this never ending winter, I need to be outside with grass and sun

I'm highly allergic to Sulfa too....anaphylactic shock, ambulance ride...the whole works. Husband's never had it but I would be afraid too

Session in 45 minutes. I am concerned that I am not going to make much sense today.
