Me: I'm going to go out to do work so that I can focus more instead of being distracted by T stuff.
Place where I'm doing work: Here's this song you associate with your T that you've never heard played here before. Enjoy!
Me: Damn it! Must not tear up.... (I mostly succeeded).

I am in grading hell. Grading from a rubric for the first time and I hate it. It seems to take longer and it depresses student grades.
Also what happened with the cheating student?

I'm sorry you were triggered. I hope you were able to bring yourself back to equilibrium.

Thanks, mostly. And T just replied that he could see me tomorrow at 11:30 after all--he'd offered me that session yesterday, then said I had to decide quickly because another client wanted it, so I said I'd just email instead. Which I did, but felt almost more upset by his (long) reply. Turned out that client had to come in today (I'm guessing a crisis?), so he still had the slot available. So seeing him then instead of Thursday. Will try to figure out then if I need to take a break or something.

My interview is at 5:30. I should probably take a shower soon. I took one this morning but I am changing clothes and want to feel fresh. I am a little bothered because when I sent a text to the woman to confirm our meeting tonight, she told me her other nanny will be in on the meeting. That bugs me. The other nanny is choosing to leave the family to go be a teacher. Why does she get to sit in my meeting if she is choosing to leave? Not to mention with her present, that means the kids probably won’t come near me at all. Whatever..I’ll just roll with it and see what happens but I would rather the current nanny not be there. That’s not my call though.

I had a stressful day doing online grocery shopping. I know, first world old lady problems. But the first person charged for but didnt deliver like half my items, of an $80 delivery. It turned out okay, but a 2 hour task morphed into a 6 hour Coachella event (i tried on a pair of denim leggings while i waited, and peed multiple times).

First world stress is still stress, and it beats the whole purpose of doing it online if you have to go and sort it out again.

did you get the leggings? i can imagine you in leopard print for some reason.

p.s you can come over for dinner if you want. I'm eating grilled artichokes straight from the jar.

It is good that your urinary tract was not affected by your travails.

LOL - I DO have leopard and cheetah leggings! But these are denim with a huge elastic girdle on them, hopefully my back wont hurt when i take my belly out for a walk. I only modeled them in front of my own mirror. I just pretended i was standing in line to pee.

My brother just called again, I do miss him. He's so good at helping me find my sparkles back. He's giving me a ton of support in regards to my surgery Thursday. I talked to his wife a little too, she's such a lovely person as well. I'm feeling better today I think the gabapentin is already working.

Hugs/headnods all around

I hope you can sort this out with Dr T in session tomorrow. How are you holding up now?

If you need to take a break I would suggest doing whatever is best for you.

Yeah, thanks for asking, I just got sub-sufficient sleep last night. My own fault. I did my job, then my volunteer job, then I went to prayer meeting at Church. Didn't get home until 8:30 PM and then took a while to get to sleep because I was all hyped up. So I'm really feeling it today. Prayer meeting is scheduled all this week but tonight I have to teach a class so I won't make tonight's but if I keep this up all week I'm really going to be dragging by Friday. C'mon weekend! I need a nap!!!

I have gift! Always knew you were a wild one.

So like a Chasity belt?

Go slow with the walking if you're new to it and make sure you have good shoes on.

We never had rubrics when I first went to uni 30 years ago and I got mainly A and Bs because as long as you could support with evidence and the grammar was ok you could take any stance you want . Now it seems to be structured to support a certain view and I always want to explore other avenues. At least at my local uni it was like that.

Reminds me of one of my marketing classes where we had to market different frozen pizzas. I took the stance that frozen pizza is frozen pizza and it doesn't matter what you buy because it's all frozen pizza so you might as well go by price and get the cheapest one. The prof definitely had a favorite and I expected to get a bad grade on the assignment, but surprisingly I didn't.
