I bought some hi protein low carb cheezy poofs - they are pretty good and pretty filling! Nice and crunchy. I have been on a crunchy kick lately.
Thanks for this!

Smart kitty. You won't get lost that way, which means you will be home in time to feed the cat.

I am about to have a bread machine adventure. I am trying to convert my great-grandmother's bread recipe to 1-loaf proportions and make it in the bread machine. It doesn't help it was set to make 7 loaves, which is rather hard to do fractions and conversions for (at least for me).

Damn the conversions, full speed ahead!

On wives not bringing their husbands ice cream quick enough: Oh. Hell. No. Get that crap yourself.

On Sons being lectured by their father on money. Tune it out. He’s grown and out of the house. What he does with his money is no longer anyone’s business but his, unless he is receiving money from the source that’s doing the lecturing.

On kids hollering they want stuff right that second. Again. Oh hell no. On the spectrum or not. Boundaries. The ice cream would get thrown out. Or whatever they are hollering for in that moment (if it’s not life or death)

On cat puke: I think SD said it will eventually go away. That’s correct.

On Crunchy high protein snacks: Love those

On Background checks: Haven’t heard anything yet, but now it’s Memorial Day weekend and people have lives sooo..I guess this is a dead issue till I meet them
Tuesday (or not pending the check)

I know I’ve read more. But I’m cleaning and took a quick break. Be back. Hugs, tip of the hat, whatever your preference.

Stupid things that lighten my mood at the moment like finding out there is a third series on Detectorists showing on tv. And the same channel is showing the Thick of It from series 1

I will prick the skin with a fork so they dont explode, then wrap in a damp paper towel. Microwave for like 3 to 5 minutes, then let set in the oven for the same amount of time.
Thanks for this!

Do you sit in the microwave for the same amount of time or put them in the oven?

It depends on the size, but to do a jacket potato I wash it, pierce the skin a couple times with a fork, put in the microwave 4 minutes, flip it, then microwave again for 4 minutes. Let it sit a couple minutes.
Thanks for this!

No, I just put it on a microwavable plate. What does the paper towel do? Make the skin crispier?

Hmmm. The bread’s taste is right but it’s very dry and didn’t rise enough. I think it needs more water than my conversion said.

I just discovered there is a Downton Abbey movie with the most ridiculous storyline. A royal visit! I can't believe a family of their standing would not be familiar with at least the basics of royal protocol of a royal visit, like the Queen brings her own staff.

If you want a laugh or bored to death in equal measures, it's the most preposterous show. I dragged my way through the first series and watched one episode of the second to discover it was the same premise every single time.
