Hi couchies.
Feeling like a worried and dumb mess this evening. I decided to apply to grad school this weekend. It's something I've been tossing around for a long time, but I worry that my reasons for going are stupid and pointless, so I haven't shared the decision with anyone but my cousin. I'm already worrying that I won't be successful even though I've done well in all my other schooling. I wish I saw T tomorrow but have to wait until Thursday morning.

Today was largely an exT free zone mentally I don't know if it was the text that made it that way, but I feel he needs to know these things.

It depends on if you eat them raw or cooked, I think. They get much sweeter when cooked (like if you add them to oatmeal or, well, make scones or pancakes, say). Eating them raw, it's a bit hit or miss--some are perfectly ripe and sweet, some are sort of tart and don't taste like anything.

Today starts the countdown until I’m done work. My last day is June 28th. I know something may pop before then but I’m not confident. I texted the lady yesterday that I met on Tuesday for a update and she didn’t text back. I guess it’s probably a no from her, but I wish she would just tell me that instead of leaving me hanging. I don’t have anymore meetings lined up. Now I have to get ready for work. I’m still fighting the bug I’ve had for over a week. Maybe stress is contributing. I don’t know.

Ugh, I'm sorry. I agree that she should at least get back to you with something, even if it's just "We're still interviewing possible nannies." I hope something turns up for you. I imagine you've done this already, but have you tried listing yourself on Care.com? (Or is that just babysitters rather than nannies?) Or even, say, Craigslist? And hope you feel better soon--stress can definitely contribute to still feeling ill.

Usually I'm somewhat annoyed when my T asks if I can change the time of my session the day of (because I generally assume it's for another client, and it makes me feel less important--though my schedule generally is flexible). But today pushing it back an hour actually works out better for me in terms of getting work done. Not sure I'll tell him that though!

Care.com is my main site I advertise on. I’m a paid member. My Background check is on file there too. (Well their version of a Check. Certainly not as comprehensive as a DOD check.)

I tried dry shampoo for the first time today. It sort of worked, but I’m not convinced it’s the miracle that other folks say it is.

I want to go to the craft store, but I don't want to get out of my pajamas. Or take a shower. Ah, the joys of depression.

I'm not a fan, but my hair tends to be on the dry side. I feel it's better for oily hair? I only shampoo every other day as it is (condition daily though). I could see it being good for, say, camping.

I’ve honestly gone out with pyjamas on. But with a jacket on top. I’d suggest going anyway especially if your store has self service check outs. Or maybe closer to your stores closing time-so there’s less people. Or can you get your shopping delivered?

P.s welcome back daisy. I didn’t know you’d gone in patient and was wondering about you the other day.

I’ve never tried it. Think it might be a plus when you’re in a rush or something.

I got my period for the first time in 3.5 years. I forgot how annoying it was.

I’m still waiting to hear from my doctor’s office that my Lupron dose has arrived. I left them a prodding message this morning.

I had a blah weekend, but I did get a few things done. Work is going to be interesting this week, as the acquisition is supposed to be finishing up. You never know until it's final though. I haven't felt much like SH-ing. This is good. I hope I can keep that up until Pentecost. Even though I messed up in the middle. =/ HUGS Kit

My anti-psychotic medication makes me so hungry. I try to eat protein in the morning so I won't get as hungry but here it is 10:00 and I'm hungry. Infuriating! Kit

Maybe you found mine. It's missing this month. I had ovarian-cyst-like pain but then no period. They are annoying, but I was wishing it was here this time. I'm going to talk to my therapist about this because it's been bothering me. Wish me luck.

I’ve reached the stage of my decluttering where I went through my jewelry. And found my wedding ring from 2ex. What does one do with something like that?

I’m certainly not going to wear it. I haven’t worn it since the surgery that went wrong that he wasn’t there for. It’s got our initials inscribed inside (for some reason I still don’t understand he threw a tantrum when I suggested adding the date inside—the initials were a huge struggle as it was).

It’s white gold, maybe some jeweler would buy it for the gold content? Or I could keep it in case I ever want to pretend to be married.

I wonder what he did with his?

ETA: I paid for them too.

One of the best things about being old. I dont know HOW i withstood that 40 year long nightmare. Plus when it started, i didnt understand that it was predictable (i was pretty regular), or that my pms was textbook and also clockwork predictable. Gee i hope i dont sound like im blaming my mother, whose only advice when i started was, dont ever mention this to anyone.

I don't recall my mother having any advice or talking about it being predictable. I remember reading about it I can't imagine I would have let my mother / listened to her tell me about it though. I found out most things by reading and then asking so I had a context.
An aside:
The acupuncturist asked me something about my mother last week and I answered and she burst out laughing. When I asked why, she said I sounded rather indifferent and that in her mind most people either gushed or bashed their mother. Indifference (which I really am not about my mother and am not fully certain how my response equalled indifference) was something new to her.

PS - Fitbit has the ability to monitor medications and track menstrual cycles. Well back in my day we had use a calendar and count on our own. In the Snow. Uphill. both ways. You kids get off my lawn.

.
Take it to a jeweler/metal crafter and have them change it into something you like. A few years after my grandfather died, my grandmother took her engagement and wedding rings and had them combined into one ring. I have it now. The end result looked nothing like either ring, but she said she wasn't going to keep wearing them the way they were so why not make them into something she would wear. And so she did.
