If it had been spelled correctly—there’s a v, obvs—it would have been...well, obvious.

Urban Dictionary: Obvs

Obs could be anything.

Taken in the context of the sentence and the conversation what else could it have been?

I got a filing cabinet to organize my writing notes and stories, which previously had just been in piles around the dining room. In the midst of the stacks was an old datebook, and as I was going through I noticed it included appointments with:

No. 3
No. 2
DBC
Cactus Woman
Info

I saw 5 therapists in a year.

I’m gonna call summer 2016 - summer 2017 the Year of the Five Therapists, just like the Romans had the Year of the Four Emperors and the Year of the Five Emperors.

I really had no idea. I did not find it obvious. I honestly would have guessed Observe

I just spent an hour crying about something dumb and emailing my therapist. Now I have a massive headache. I wish emailing him wasn't how I soothe myself when I'm that upset. In my defense, it was directly related to an article that I asked if I could send to him, so he got two emails instead of one.

Well, c'mon that's not true. I don't like what he said, but I have definitely demanded things out of people I worry about. For example, I have to coerce my father into getting his colonoscopy and confiscate his fake helmet so he wears a real one when riding his motorcycle. My old boss refused to see her mother until she started losing weight (her mom was morbidly obese).

Right or wrong, people demand things of other people all the time because they are concerned about them.

I agree. Sometimes a demand or an ultimatum feels like the only way to get through. Not saying it’s right, but it’s understandable.

It's perfectly okay to email your t when you're not feeling so well and it doesn't need to be justified.

I think there's nothing wrong with calling if you need a reply sooner.

You're the first person I know to use hill and dale!

The is for politics?!

I got as far as the bit where he's talking about mirroring but it's not a book for me right now. It's very research heavy and requires a different mindset.
