Thank you. Trouble is I already talked to him on the phone last night. I don't want him to get sick of me and fire me.

I just got home from Texas, picking up my kid from his dance program.

Texas is hot. Even at 5 a.m. when we left for the airport, it was practically steamy outside. And my kid’s roommate’s mom told me the weather was unusually mild this weekend.
I think I did this when she said that ——>
I could never go outside! I think I sweated out a gallon just walking from the parking lot to the performance hall.

I feel like I spent the entire weekend drinking bad coffee and sitting in the airport.

It's Hs birthday today and he's spent all day pouting. I've asked several times if there's anything he wants to do and he refuses and saying it's a bad birthday again. If he's not pouting, he's yelling or hinting at sex.
Possible trigger:

I want to SH after dealing with this the whole weekend. I'm trying to get through the weekend like my T said is the only goal. Maybe I should call him.

I am not in tx but am in a hot humid somewhat swampy state - it is fun when students from the northeast or the desert come here in August when school starts. They are horrified to find out it often only cools down to 80 or so degrees at midnight with a morning average of 84 percent humidity.

I think I’ve solved my story problem. Just tinkering with the previous draft isn’t going to work. Instead I opened a new file. Some lines and scenes will be the same, adding the new material I need to improve the story throughout. This way it feels more like a new creation.

I can already tell it’s better and tighter than the second draft.

That is horrifying.

I think I’ll stick to the PNW where it cools down at night.

I feel most at home In a humid climate. When I go visit my family up north east or friends in other parts of the country where it is less humid, I always feel slightly uncomfortable until I come back home. Kind of funny what you get used to or what you find familiar even though we complain about the humidity all summer -it is a fond complaining

As you say, the way you dress expresses how you feel about yourself. Changing your dress style before you are ready is unlikely to make things better. Build confidence first!

I wish that my T would quit telling me to just get up and do stuff when I feel bad. I effing can't right now. There are so many times when I have gotten out of bed and Done The Things even when I didn't feel like it. But I'm all tapped out.

Hand in the second draft and go to lunch.

Everything is bigger in Texas. Including the thermometers.

The second draft’s already been workshopped last fall. Won’t help me improve as a writer to repeat it.

Also had a run in with the in laws. Kidlet likes to pretend he is a girl and wears a pretend girl costume. He is a child, I see no harm. Today they yelled that he couldn't be a girl, he was only a boy. I told them very firmly that he is a girl if he wants to be at that time. They told me they didn't "do" gender fluidity. UGH they didn't give him this much hassle when he had a pretend butterfly costume or a super hero costume. He has a wild imagination and we just let him pretend to be anything he likes. He knows what pretend is and what real is.

He asked me afterwards why he couldn't pretend to be a girl and I told him in laws were old and they didn't understand lmao. Bad I know but man, leave the kid alone.

P.s he also likes to pretend he is a wolf, drgaon or dinosaur depending on the day.

I just started reading a novel. A few pages in I come upon the phrase “the male populous.”

Seriously, I don’t know if I can go on.

What's the difference between pretending to be a wolf, dragon or girl? I used to pretend I was Peter Pan or the Lone Ranger I am female.
